BUYERS and VENDORS beware of Hugh McCauley of Hugh's Catering, Gourmet To Go Uses Cheap & Low Grade Food and Overcharges Catering Customers. Hugh McCauley signs agreements and defaults and bounces checks. Having spoken to several gourmet chefs that used to work for Hugh McCauley in Wilton Manors and Fort Lauderdale quit working for him because of the low grade and poor quality of food he uses to cater parties with. They said while his facility looks nice, his food quality is for the birds.
If you are a vendor wishing to do business with Hugh McCauley, DON'T ACCEPT CHECKS...GET CASH. Hugh has a repeated historry of STEALING labor and professional services from vendors. Past employess have commented that he mistreats the lower level "grunt workers" as he calls them.
If you order catering, have someone physically INSPECT the FOOD and watch out for his "bait and switch" tactics. Because his low grade quality food he services may be equilvent to what you might find in a Soup Kitchen in New York City.
