Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I BOUGHT A 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA WITH ABOUT 16,000 MILES FROM A COLLEAGUE WHICH WAS INVOLVED IN A MINOR FENDER BENDER, BUMPER ETC. THE CAR WAS MISSING THE KEY FOB. WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE DUPLICATE KEY FROM THE DEALER I REALIZED THE CAR WOULDN'T START AND THE ENGINE WAS SEIZED.

I TOWED IT TO THE LOCAL DEALER IN HANOVER, PA. AFTER 6 WEEKS OR SO THEY TOLD ME THE ENGINE WAS SHOT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SINCE THE CAR ONLY HAD 16,000 MILES AND TOLD THEM IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THEIR 10 YEAR/100,000 MILE WARRANTY THAT HYUNDAI ADVERTISES ALL OVER THE COUNRTY. I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT THE WARRANTY WAS NOT FOR THE VEHICLE, BUT FOR THE VEHICLE OWNER...SINCE I WAS NOT THE 1ST OWNER, I WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THEIR ADVERTISED WARRANTY.

NEVER HAD I HEARD SUCH CRAP. SO IT LOOKS LIKE HYUNDAI KNOWS THEIR CARS ARE WORTHLESS CRAP AND TRICK THE BUYERS INTO BUYING THEIR VEHICLE BY ADVERTISING THE GREAT BEST CAR WARRANTY, BUT THE FINE PRINT VOIDS THE 10 YR./100k WARRANTY IF YOU ARE THE 2ND OWNER. OBVIOUSLY HYUNDAI HAS NO FAITH IN THEIR PRODUCTS THAT IS WHY THEY USED DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING AND DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WARRANTY AS ADVERTISED.

THE FACTORY REP TOLD ME TO GO ON THEIR WEB SITE AND READ THE "DETAILS" OF THE WARRANTY. I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW HOW HYUNDAI TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS, WHEN HELP IS NEEDED. DO NOT BUY HYUNDAI PRODUCTS, AS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. BUYER BEWARE.

Rejecting the probability that you were duped by the seller indicates that you are in denial and an easy target.

Detecting red flags comes with maturity and experience. You'll get there.

Enjoy your new car.

Please do not assume to know people or what the relationships of others are. I did not get conned by the seller. BUT, I did get conned into beliving that HYUNDAI is a good and reliable company, by remembering your radio ads. Eveyone I spoke to says --BUT you have 100K warranty. THAT is what the public remembers. That's deceptive advertising.  . . You say "that's why the previous (1st owner) did not get it repaired. Well If you go by your own warranty terms, he  qualified for the 10K/100K and could and still qualifies for the motor replacement warranty, since the car has only 16,000 miles. Its not even broken into, compared to any other vehicle out there in the vast world of automobiles. You Think about it. I have NEVER heard of a newer car with only 16,000 (SIXTEEN Thousand) miles on it, that has the motor SHOT/SEIZED. Now, we all know that is possible with HYUNDAIs. Look at the intenet to see how many thousands of vehicles have had the same issue with HYUNDAI's and why there are so many lawsuits against this horrible comapny who cannot make a mechanically decent vehicle. That's why HYUNDAI warrants the BUYER not the Vehicle. I was told the 10 yr/100K warranty is only for the 1st owner. Why would a company do that? The company knows most people trade or In Hyundai's case the vehicle has so many issues, that they get rid of the vehicle in 5 years..that's how they con the customer.  IF they were confident in thier product, they would warranty thier product, not the owner. ONLY 1st owner has the warranty. What BS.

You failed to test-drive the vehicle and also failed to verify the terms of the warranty. Your claim that Hyundai does not honor their warranty is a false allegation. The warranty terms are not in fine print. The terms are clearly posted on the Hyundai website.

The early engine failure is most likely due to negligence. That's why the previous owner didn't get it repaired under warranty. Think about it.

The seller was unable to provide you with a key. That should have been a huge red flag. You got snookered by the seller.
