has been working the Tampa Florida entertainment industry since 2013. Billing himself as a "celebrity acting coach". Acting coaches are either good teachers or bad ones. If a famous actor happens to ask for advice from an "acting coach" or teacher they do not suddenly become a celebrity acting coach. No one in the industry does this. Uta Hagen was not a celebrity acting coach! Strasberg, Stanislavski, Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner were not "Celebrity" teachers or coaches. This should be a red flag for anyone looking to study with someone who has to cast bait out like this. Photographs standing at party's with actors from 1980's sitcoms would be another. Tag line's such as "standing with my buddies" or "My best friend and me" are designed to lure the novice and amateur actor. Seek out someone who has a body of work that would show they know what they are doing. Either in front of or behind the camera.

You are a good friend. Delusional, but loyal. However if you live in California you must know that no acting teacher or coach would give themselves the title, "Celebrity". This is a bait and enticement that has no merit. "Grand Master" "Big Kahuna" and "All Knowing" are others that come to mind. Most teachers are content to ask for endorsements from current or past students as a "testimonial" or "endorsement". Any current ones here? If this is how a teacher needs to lure in the wide eyed, enthusiastic,hollywood bound, newbies than I feel sorry for anyone who puts faith in this process. Perhaps better money could be spent with Kathy Laughlin in the Tampa market. Kathy has been a successful (key word), casting director and teacher for the better part of 25 years in Tampa and Florida. Parents and students need to open their eyes when seeking out knowledge in the entertainment industry. It is full of pitfalls and predators who only want to squeeze your wallet. All I can say about this has been posted. It's not the "norm" or accepted as "good" business. Now, excuse me while I go find a "Celebrity Landscaper" for my yard. Going to need a "Celebrity House Painter" soon as well.

I personally know Ian Stevens very well since I grew up with him - in Palo Alto, California as children and we played togehter as kids growing up.
Ian is a hard working and as honest as it gets. He wouldn't hurt a fly and an honest business person. Everything about his background and his credentials is true - he worked in the acting and film industry with very well know actors and some which are still really good friends. On his facebook page and his website he has many pictures of famous people that hes personally worked with.
If you paid Ian to help coach you to act, well - because your not a famous movie star overnight - and not patient to do the work and be a starving actor or actress....many people in the industry never hit it big for a very long time until they got their first chance on a part in a movie that made them famous. Many actors work in small parts and pay their dues before they make a living in the industry.
Everyone has a mentor - in any industry - just like a singer has a singing coach and just like people hire a trainer to get in shape or a financial planner to plan their finances. Its because people come to them for their knowledge and advice- for any professional industry.
I don't understand what your complaint is about since you personally never paid Ian to coach you. Is this just to compete against your services that you provide or is it just to defame him?
Ian has a passion for his work and loves what he does and people still come to him to coach and he is making a honest living for his family- leave the guy alone.
