My husband surprised me with a birthday present to beat all presents in April of 2011. Yep! I was ecstatic! A 273 cc. Tornado IceBear Trike!
It did not come with liftgate service, but my husband was able to get a friend to unload for us with his equipment. I should have known something was wrong then, cause that was the first of several things promised that were not fulfilled.
When we took it out of package, the tires were flattened. My husband took note of that and recorded it for report to company (at that time we spoke with Dan). Also, the fenders were busted around the bolts. That was added to list of things that needed fixing. On my maiden trip to town, the mirror fell off, and the throttle stuck.
Those were also noted and subsequently sent with other complaints to company. We were told that we would receive new fenders to be put on, new tires, and new mirror. We finally got the fenders about 3 months later,and they were the wrong ones. Never did get new tires (others were flattened by being in crate so long, and could be ridden on, but bumpy). Never got new mirror.
I did get less than 300 miles use---back highways cause it wouldn't go over 45 miles an hour---and it got to where it would begin to overheat. I had to let motor cool before riding. Oh, I forgot to mention that the muffler fell off twice, and my husband, the mechanic, put it back on! Finally, the motor just blew! Oil on the differential!
Bear in mind that we were in constant contact with Dan out of Michigan who initiated the deal the whole time, and sent him pictures and e-mails of all the things that went wrong! Dan no longer would take any communication from us and referred us to the office in California. They, too, rode things out til the warranty ran out! Can a warranty run out on a lemon when you have reported all the things wrong before the warranty expires?
Bottom line: No service! Big Rip-Off! Nobody will make good on their products! Be warned! Don't spend your hard earned money on these people. My birthday present has been sitting in our garage for nearly a year now!
