ICM - Internet Cash Machine ICM They scammed me! They charged an unauthorized amount on $139.95 on my debit card!!! Internet
I was drawn into a scam. This company ICM lied. I was on the internet and a pop up came on and said that a Desoto Mom is making $5-7,000.00 a month.
The amount to sign up was only $2.97 shipping and handling charges only. There was one other charge of 59 or 39.99 it was completely marked through and said this charged was waived if I sign up now. At that point I was interested in how to make more money as a single parent.
I paid the $2.97 and 2 hours later checked my email for my confirmation. I started reading it and at the bottom it said that a one time fee of $139.95 will be charged to my account after my transaction of 2.97 had processed. I looked on line at my bank account and these two amounts were already pending charges. When I signed up there was no mention of the $139.95 amount at all!!! I immediately called and cancelled this. The person I spoke to, whom I can name, reassured me that this was cancelled and will be put back in my account within 3-5 days. This amount was something I did not authorize by any means. This charge of 139.95 was processed as soon as I paid the 2.97.
I called again the next day and was reassured that this money will not go through as a paid transaction. At that time I also spoke to the billing department, I told them I needed a letter of cancellation or void for my bank. They said it would take at least 2 to 3 days for me to get that by fax. That person was not very nice and was not understanding to the fact that I knew I had been scammed!!!!!. How can you work for a company that is so dishonest?
I called again today and was reassured a third time. I spoke to supervisor (Alex), whom was very rude and told me that because I was angry he would not get the letter over to my bank today and that it would now be 2 days. Then he hung up on me. Not understanding at all!! I am not an irrate person but I was upset. I gave him all the information to my bank that he requested.
I am demanding that the amount charged to my debit card be refunded in full immediately or the pending charge be deleted.
