ICS A Financial Co. Preying on the broke and desperate!!! Oklahoma City Oklahoma
About a month ago i received an "application" in the mail from ICS claiming that i was pre approved for a loan between 2000 and 5000 dollars. It asked me to fill out my information and either fax it back or mail back to the "manager" steven. I tried calling, left a voicemail and never received a call back. So i figured what the heck, i'll send the application.
A couple weeks went by and i received the 3 page confirmation letter, asking me to pay 75 dollars by March 15th. If i needed more time i needed to request an extension date. I was to pay by cashier check or money order because personal check would delay processing. I immediately became suspicious. So i called "Steven". I got his voicemail again. Left a message stating i received the confirmation but i had a couple questions and asked him to call me back.
In the meantime i called a consumer credit company to see if i could get some information on ICS. The man on the phone Googled ICS and it brought him here, to RipOffReport.com. He told me to throw the letter away that they were a fraud. I did not throw the letter away, but i'm not going to send any money to them. After i hung up the phone "Steven" from ICS called me back! i couldnt believe it. So i let the voicemail get it.
He went on about how much my interest rate would be, how many years the loan would be for, how much my monthly payment would be, and he was kind enough to give me an extension on remitting the 75 dollars to March 22nd. I saved the voicemail and went on my way.
The reason i'm here today isn't because i was scammed into paying money, but because of the heartbreak that coincides with being broke. My fiance and i work all the time. We needed that money more than i could ever describe in this text box. We are at our witts end on how to make some extra money just to survive, and what is upsetting is how people like "Steven" at "ICS" can get away with Preying on the broke and desperate.
