Hi, I'm a 44 year old avid gamer. Last year I subsribed to IGN.COM They have an open gaming website that is pretty nice. For $19.95 I was allowed for one year to download all the cheats ect. that I wanted and was able to use the members forums, ect. It was ok. The service does work.

The only problem is getting off of it. When I first joined IGN offered me a couple of magazine subscriptions. I filled out the forms and never got the books of course, but I changed my mind with the subscription to the web site. I had been on a week and decided I didnt want to stay. I contacted IGN about this and the entire thing was taken care of over the phone. The girl convinced me to stay and try it for a year, so I did. I had already cancelled the subscription for renewal, but gues what happened November 2 2006? They automatically renewed the sub! If you go on IGN they say the subscription to the site is $19.95 a year. I was charged $24.95 for this renewal with NO notice from the company. This glitch would not be such a problem if I could recontact them. The only numbers they have go to answering machines and the web site won't let you send them an email. Sure, they have a fax # but I dont have a fax! So far it's been nothing. Stay away from them. They will not let you leave. It sounds like a good deal at first, until you try to get out. Then they refuse to let you go! I may have to have my bank acct # changed just to get them off! RIPOFF!!!
