Member's Edge, ILD Teleservices Telephone bill ripoff charges for taking "free" online survey Ponte Vedra Beach Florida
In December my husband took a free online survey. In January we were billed 14.95 plus fees totaling 16.53. The fees were for e-mail service set-up fee. Member's Edge was the company with ILD Teleservices billing. My husband knew nothing of these charges.
I called 1-800-433-4518 as listed on the telephone bill and was told that my husband signed up for this service. I told them that he did not and was told that he took a free survey and that signed us up for this service. Apperantly when he agreed to take the survey, he agreed to this service in fine print in the I accept the terms and agreement portion.
It took over 20 minutes to talk to a person who was very rude and refused to credit my account. They do not credit any accounts as I was told and since my husband signed up for this why is he unwilling to take responsibility for his actions. Infuriating.
I was told there was not a supervisor available they offered to transfer me to a voice mail box. I refused and said I would hold, they said they needed to hang up to speak to other customers. I refused to hang up. I waited for over 20 minutes to talk to them and would wait. The supervisor finally came on the line and agreed to credit my account.
