Imagine Master Card / First Bank Of Deleware Discriminate against disabled senior American Atlanta Deleware Nationwide
I am a disabled, senior American taxpayer. I have had this high fee, high interest credit card for several years. I have ALWAYS paid on or before the due date and always paid far more than the minimum payment due. This month, I was hospitalized with a stroke and was about a week late in making my payment. When released from the hospital, I immediately made my payment via internet.
Several days after my payment was paid and the payment cleared my bank, I receive notice that my card has been terminated and that my interest rate had been increased to the statutory maximum. When I called what I thought was the card company to express my outrage, I found that I am speaking only to a call center in INDIA and can't even understand any of the three operators because their English was so poor. None of them would even give me an address or american contact number to file a complaint through.
We, the taxpayers, are expected to stand by while Congress provides billions of dollars to bail out these unethical financial institutions. Then, when we as American consumers need our credit the most to save our home or to pay a hospital bill, those same banks terminate our credit lines and raise the interest paid on the balance.
Well, the non English speaking idiots in the call center located in India may be beyond the reach of legal repurcussions, but I intend to file a discrimination action against this bank and Master Card for violations under the American's With Disabilities Act if at all possible. These bankers and Wall Street fat cats belong in prison, not in New York penthouses. In fact, they should send that a*****e George Bush and his sidekick Tricky d**k Cheney over to Iraq and let their sorry asses sit in in a non armored Humvee day after day, while they dodge roadside explosives and think about the great injustices that they helped perpitrate against the American taxpayers; as they let Wall Street and the banking industry run wild during their terms in office.
