I was locked out of my house, and was running out of battery. I called these guys and they said it would be $10 service fee, and a $20 labor rate. My lock was nothing fancy, and cheap, and thought wow $30 bucks and I get to keep my lock, and had them come over. At this point my battery was dead, and I waited for them for about 30 minutes. The guy shows up in an unmarked car, and asks to see the lock. I showed him, he then fills out a paper and turns to me and says, please sign this. I looked at the bill appalled, seeing a $250.00 bill with the words picking/drilling lock. I reminded him of the $30 I was quoted, and he replied that my lock was a high security lock and that it would be very tough to open, etc. etc. I was pretty desperate at that time, with my wife and baby waiting on me, and the stovetop, etc. so I said if the lock is so tough, and it's going to take that much effort, go ahead and do the labor. To my surprise the guy uses a crowbar to shove my door open. Less than 3minutes, and had nothing to do with the lock mechanism itself.
I have called them and asked them to justify their pricing, and tell my why my rate was not the $20 they advertise. All they said was the tech made a call. Yeah right, he called to bill me whatever he thought he could get away with.
I am reporting them on the basis of a bait and switch scam, they never intended to give me their advertised rates.
