In October of 2002, I received a phone call which at the time seemed odd but I assumed it to be a legitimate offer of receiving a credit card. The woman on the phone told me about their affiliations with every bank that you can think of and that I would be issued a credit card through my bank. She even asked me if I would prefer a Visa or Master Card. I thought the mentioned fee of 258.00 was steep for a credit card but didn't mind it so much as I thought I would receive a credit card with a 2500.00 limit.

After a month had passed, I noticed my bank account was never debited the above mentioned amount. I called the company many times. Nine times out of ten, I got an answering service telling me they would call me back. They eventually debited my account 257.00. The following two months I called the company frequently to inquire of the shipment of my credit card. When I actually did get a person on the phone, they told me they had a back log and that no shipments had gone out.

After just over the two month period I received a package from Consumer Imperial Services. THIS PACKAGE CONTAINED NO CREDIT CARD!! IT CONTAINED A CHEAP, WORTHLESS MANUAL ON CREDIT REPAIR WITH AN ACCOMPANYING CD-ROM AND A BUNCH OF ADVERTISEMENTS!!!

I now realize they wait over two months so that you can't dispute the charge with your bank.

This type of business practice can and will not be tolerated. I've contacted the Better Business Bureau, many state agancies for consumer fraud, as well as my lawyer. I am pursuing having their license to operate pulled.
