The other day I had just got home from a long day aw work and I was looking forward to relaxing and getting ready to pack to vacation to hawaii with my Parents to Hawaii. A very ugly and unkept man came to my door. His English was horrible and I wanted to slam the door in his face but I didn't because he was giving me these grandiose ideas of how I can make $1,000 dollars by signing up with his company which was called "indepence energy alliance." It caught me off guard because I've heard of energy deregulation before and I generally say no thanks to door to door salespeople just because it never hurts to say no. So I told the gentleman "no thanks" and preceeded to keep packing.

He became even more pushy, he made sure he said "My name Benito and I save you money and you make money. He then showed me his badge which I couldn't make out his last name but I think it said leon? And he kept trying to entice me multiple times to sign up. Eventually I told him that I was going to go get something, slammed the door in his face and locked it. He still kept knocking and annoying me. I would have called the cops but he eventually left.

I looked up Independence energy and it is a total scam. This company claims to generate nothing but green energy and it's website promises you thousands of dollars for choosing them. Who has thousands of dollars to just gives to customers? I really hope no one else signs up with these pushy, impolite, bums. They make it look like a pyramid scheme or a ponzi scheme on their website!!! Stay away from independence energy, my guess is they are trying to become the next madoffs!!!!!

Before you start throwing your wild accussations around lets set the table straight.  IEA isn't just giving away thousands of dollars.  Sure, they set some bonuses that are tough to reach so by no means are they just giving money away. Its not a ponzi scheme or scam, its a Multi-Level marketing company in its infancy stages.  Have you ever heard of companies by the name of Amway, Pampered Chef, MarryKay, Tupperware, HerbalLife or Avon?  Yeah, they are all companies based on MLM as well.  It rewards associates who can sell there product with reasonable salaries.  Unlike standard companies that use all there money on SuperBowl ads and paying CEO's 10's of millions of dollars, MLM companies create income opportunities for the average middle class person. So before you start slandering my opportunity to make a living remember what you mother told you "think before you speak"

Im sorry you encountered a bad salesman, it happens in every company - everyday.  I hope "Benito" is repremanded for his actions and wish that you would have called his supervisor to make sure "he" is the one punished for "his" actions.  Not post your ill-thought opinion about the company as a whole on a message board.  Guess what, I ate at Mcdonalds this morning and they messed up my order and my hashbrowns were under cooked.... should I tell everyone that Mcdonalds is a scam!  Dont go there!???  No you handle it in the correct manor.

Thanks for your time.
