The manager has had a bad attitude. The only reason I still went there once in a while is because There are not many restaurants around the place I live, and I have no car.

The manager of India Garden would definitely assigns a 2-seat table, which is very crowded, if thie customers are the following: (1)a white female or (2)1-2 asians or (3)poor-looking white male

In Contrast, the manager always assign a 4-seat table if the customers are the following: (1)1 indian or (2)1 white male

I had been their customer in the past 4 years. I usually go to the restaurant by myself, so I paied attention to how the manager assigned seats to his customers. I have asked the manager to let me and my friend to have a 4-seat table in the past one and half year when half of the restaurants were empty, but his replies were: (1)NO or(2)YOU SIT THERE (Demanding) or(3)He told me some non-sense if I asked them for a reason why I and my friend couldn't have a 4-seat table.

We used to go to India Garden in Oakland alot, and the staff was consistently down right rude. So many people complain about this place, including Indian patrons. The best way to voice our opinion is not to spend our money there. They do offer those half off specials on their meals, I guess that is why they are still in business. I will never go there again.

the people working in India Garden have a racial bias. they always reserved their spacious, and warmer tables for people who are either Indian or White, even when there's plenty of tables. I hate being seated close to the door with no privacy. If they are so disrespectful to customers, they don't deserve our business.

I agree with you, Cory. I will stop taking my friends to eat in India Garden, and I will no longer go there. And yes, the 2-seat tables there are really tiny, and the space between two 2-seat table is about 5"-6", which made me and my friends have no privacy of our conversation. I hope everyone who has an unfair treatment speak out since WE PAY TO GET GOOD SERVICE !!!!

Went in to eat here in S.A. The hostess gives my wife and I this 2 place table which is about 24"x24". I'm 260 and 6'. I ask if it's alright if we sit at another table. They are probably 25% occupied. The little twit gives me a face, says uh, drops the menus on the table and walks off. I'll be danged if I'll accept an attitude problem from a little twit. I walk to the bar, ask to speak to the manager, explain the situation. He's very nice and says he's sorry and offers us our meals for free. I thank him but decline. I don't wish to have my meals tampered with in the back. Out I go, never to return. As long as you stand for it, It will continue.
