Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I worked here for about a month and a half and it was the biggest waste of time/money. this is door to door sales for Comcast. There are fake leads of places that can't get service and a number of angry customers who we were sent to "build relationships" with to sell them more crap or switch them when they couldn't even get service.

i am actually good at sales. So it wasn't that hard to sell, it was getting paid that was hard. This is 100% commission and not guaranteed. I ended up quoting because I was spending more money on gas then making. We did team days which were even worse because then I had I split money with the assistant manager Alex . He would put the app in his name because he made more profit.

Then when pay came around, I never saw a dime. this happened to numerous people. The sad part is I was warned but thought no one could be that much of a conartist. I signed up two apps the last day I was there and never got paid on those either. I later find out when the customer called me to verify, Alex had gone there and told them I don't work there anymore and thy we had to reput them through. Of course I didn't get paid.

Honestly the job isn't that bad. The opportunity is great but when you have to deal with upper management being that shady you will never get promoted. The a manager and my trainer were honestly not bad but to allow an employee like Alex to work tsmart and lead people is a joke.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, June 26, 2013

While your rebuttal to the report filed seems well thought out and eloquently written, the overall sentiment rings extremely hollow.  If there were no issues with the company and president in question, Shaine Thurman, than I find it hard to believe that there would be so many reports out there on this particular individual.  In addition, I find it quite strange that a business claiming to have such integrity would have to change names every year or so.  Shaine Thurmann pops up in a number of Ripoff Reports, and has changed the name to his business constantly.  This trend is quite alarming, to say the least.  Also, the 2nd interview is pitched to prospective employees as a day to shadow an employee and visit "clients".  Unfortunately for many of these prospective employees, they are stuck going door-to-door on their second interview.  In my years of business experience I have never heard of a cold call, especially going door-to-door, as a client meeting.  I am guessing this tactic is extremely effective at getting people to agree to a second interview. However, once they are out in the field without access to their own vehicle it leaves them feeling quite powerless.  All in all, it is in the best interest of prospective employees to continue their job search elsewhere.  When there are so many negative reviews about one person, and his company has to switch names constantly to try to avoid said reviews, it is pretty apparent that it is probably just a better idea to continue looking for work in other places.

#3UPDATE Employee

Fri, June 14, 2013

This employee was made completely aware of what was entailed in the B2B outside sales position they applied to and agreed to including their pay options; one offering a base salary plus a percentage of commissions which they opted out of in favor of the full commission option in order to make more money on their sales.  The rep was with the company for over a month and a half which shows they were being paid completely and fairly for quality customers acquired each week for the entire time of employment.  All quality customers are "100% guaranteed" paid on.  We would like to think they could take accountability for commissions not earned near the end of employment due to customer cancels, not following business rules, or not following through completely on accounts signed.  This rep was not heard from after employment and was sent documentation on the status of all accounts paid and not paid on and reasons why.  This rep was out with an assistant manager AKA Mr. Huynh in order to try to help them become more efficient with their customers and their time and be able to do more business thus making more money.  This is not something we were required to do but did with the complete intention of supporting this rep to succeed.  Never were accounts or monies taken from them.  We have over 100 employees in 3 states and would not be if we were in the business of "stealing money" from our employees.  As a company we are sure to give all information including pay options, benefits, and job duties long before hiring including a day long shadowing so there are no discrepancies.  Unfortunately this employee took this position while living in Indiana and had a longer commute.  The company is not responsible, nor have we claimed to be responsible for gas commuting to and from work.  While we hope that any employee that leaves our company for any reason leaves having had a great experience unfortunately that does not seem the case in this instant.

Furthermore we no longer represent Comcast Business Class as a client and we now work solely with existing AT&T commercial customers updating their services.  Neither of these clients would let a company represent them that did not hold the highest standards in the way we treat our customers or employees, in regards to "con artists."

We do appreciate the time this employee spent with the company and their acknowledgement at the end of their post that the position is a great opportunity and that management AKA Mr. Thurman and trainers do try their best and are very successful in helping all employees to reach their full potential.

Again we would like to reiterate that if their are any questions this employee would like clarification on regarding accounts signed or statuses of customers they feel they were left out of payment on we would be more than happy to review them in great detail at any time.
