I'm an educated, experience, likable, attractive (so what I've been told) Asian girl in my early 30's looking to get into a different sales gig. They advertised that they we're looking for a recruiter in their organization. I researched their linkedin profile and checked out some reviews (alot of negatives from both employers and clients) and was reserved, but thought I'd reply anyway. A recruiter responded, I answered, and decided to meet with her after talking to her. She excitedly said that she would be at a University career fair nearby in a few days and would love to meet me. She gave me her personal cell to contact her once I get there. I arrived with an opened mind and positive attitude and approached Insight's booth. I asked for my contact, introduced my self to her, and she had no idea (or pretended to) who I was or what I was there for. Being a good sales person, I read her physical and verbal ques which basically said "you're over 25, Asian, don't have long blonde or brunette hair with big b***s...I don't think you can sell our services to the horney tech guys we're trying to scam.". She handed me a brochure, gave a rehearsed pitch that was on the posting about what they do, and sent me off. I felt bad that I gave her my time of day, but on the good side, I was able to interview with other recruiters at the university and was invited for a second interview by virtually all of the companies I approach. Thanks Insight for giving me the opportunity to confirm that you guys are not do "Insight"-full when it comes to recruiting and inviting me to a career fair so that fortune 300 companies can see my talents!! I will definitely spread the words around to my tech friends to call you guys if they want to get blue-balled.
Job seekers and potential clients with a brain should stay away from this group. They might have some cute girls/guys working there robotically repeating their company's blurb, but you may find that you're wasting your time. You're better off going to Hooters for some talents.

I don't usually complain anonymously, but since i'm on the prowl for a new job, i don't want to risk being seen. But to answer your questions and possibly help others, i feel like shouting out being the maven that i am. I live on the coast of southern orange county and stand 5' tall and 100 lbs, so I can't afford to be overweight. No chubs either. I'm more of a hipster than a bombshell. #1, she immediately flustered when I introduced myself, #2 she wasn't interviewing me, ie like asking about who I am or my experience, and she refused by saying "it's ok, I have it in my email", #3 she continuously looked over my shoulder as I was talking to her- like I would if I was on a date with a guy I'm not interested in., # 4 the outside sales position I applied just happen to unavailable (why the F$&@ was she interviewing at a job fair). I've dealt with some rude clients, but never an interviewer or a recruiter. I'm really not exaggerating! Hopefully insight will read this and change their culture.

I *am* a horny tech guy, and trust me, we have a thing for Asians (well, mostly Japanese and Korean). Most Asian women look younger than they are, so early 30s should be OK for you. What actual evidence do you have that she did not like your looks?
