Instant checkmate is an absolute ripoff. They advertise a complete background check on any individual anywhere, just enter the name to get started. They proceed to make you jump through hoops filling out more information on your subject. Then they find people with the same name, you pick the one that best matches. Your computer then goes through a seemingly very in depth search of TOP SECRET information that includes phone #s, addresses, aliases, arrest records, known relation, marriage/divorce records, etc....Then it says they found all of the info and the content may be graphic, so your forced to check off disclaimers that you are 18 yr. old and prepared for graphic and detailed information that includes sex offenders, arrest records and more! the next page is a subscription page where you get to pay to see the juicy information they spent so much time digging up that is not available except through this avenue. So naturally you pay with a valid credit card because youve spent the last 45 min. of your life getting to this point. You pay the minimum 30 day subscription because you know you will only use it a few times at best if you can think of anybody you wanna know all this stuff about, After entering your card information you get socked with another $1.99 for the pdf version that is printable. And the FINALLY here it comes, straight to your email, now granted you know why you looked up this subject, obviously to find out a little more than you already knew, right? Some really good juicy stuff most of which you knew but thinking that having it on paper could be useful if for nothing else than topic of conversation with friends. WHAT YOU GET? The information that YOU put in! Yup Thats it. you get 9 pages of garbage that states this is public information site and all information may not have been released depending on the State, City, and County of residence. So 9 pages of nothing absolutely nothing except for the name that I put in. Not even a birthdate or age. which by the way I also originally put that in. No known address, No known ph#, Nothing Nothing not a d**n thing. Immediately called for a refund. Customer service sucks, they tried desperately to frustrate me to the point of just hanging up. but no I wasted another hour before they refunded 1/2. So there it is. don't do what I did
