Instant Tax Service - instanttaxservice.com Ripped us off doing our taxes with no written statement of what they charged. Ozark Missouri
We took our taxes to them in January and advised a workup to be started but not to finish the taxes until we brought in our w-2's. Was called a week later and advised they had a check for us for 2000.00. when I went to pick up the check, they kept the portion that gave a breakdown of charges and never let me see them.
We had not signed the taxes aas of yet. We took the w-2's in and was adv they would need to do an amendment which I had never heard before. They stated would get back 632.00 and would be sent directly to me and i was given my package from them.
I looked this over and still no breakdown of the charges. I waited 2 months as still no check and then called the IRS and spoke with a rep who adv me that a check was sent to the instant tax service in the amt 3227.00.
I knew they had given us a check for 2000.00 and 500.00 was taken out b/c of a loan for Christmas that I had received from the same bank. that still left 700.00 unaccounted for. I tried to go in and find out where the money went to and they were shut down.
I came home and on the news, was informed they had been raided for unfair services so now I will probably never know what happened to the rest of our tax money and it will take 3 months for us to get the amended money from the IRS.
