I went to Instant Tax Service which is located at 2802 Lafayette Road.  I am a single mother of three and I went to them because like most people I needed some immediate cash.  They gave me a loan for four hundred dollars which at the intially visit they gave me two hundred and then when the IRS accepts they would give me the other two hundred dollars.  Once I got home and looked over my paperwork, I then noticed that my son name was spelled wrong and my daughter SSN was also wrong on the paperwork.  I immediately called the located where I filed my taxes and they referred me to their corporate office here in Indianapolis.  There I spoke with a gentleman who was suppose to be a supervisor and he stated that he would look into it and call me back.  I informed him that I did not give them authorization to refile my tax information due to the wrong information and I also offered to pay them back the two hundred dollards that they gave me with interest. The supervisor told me he would call me back which he never did.  I proceeed to call the location back where I filed my taxes and me and one of the staff member there got into a verbal argument and she was very unprofessional and very loud and very rude.  I called back on Monday morning and spoke to a lady whom she said she was the supervisor which was was very rude and told me that basically there are going to file my taxes with the incorrect information and there was nothing that I could do.  They charged me $650.00 to file my taxes on a 1040ez form.  I had only one
W-2 form with no special dectuctions.  So my total cost that I paid Instant tax was $1050.00 because I had to pay the four hundered back that they gave me.  Today is Feb 8th 2013 and I call thier number and the answering machine stated that all of their branch office are closed for the tax season.  Really!  Wow!
Most tax offices does not close their office until after April 15th.

I filed with this company in 2012 and they did the same thing to me as well. I was not informed that my taxes would be filed, I didn't even give them my w2form until after my taxes were already filed. The advance they gave me was only 50.00, and I had to pay them back 300.00 which was not told to me. On top of that I didn't receive any copies to the paperwork explaining the information. There's not really one appointed supervisor, the person who claimed to be a supervisor didn't know much about the process at all. I was later told by an insider that work for the company, they don't have the ability to give loans, so the way around that is to open an account in your name with bank of america, and charge the 300.00 in bank fees. Otherwise they could get into major trouble for advertising the advance. SO the reason why you were charged the 600.00 is 300 for the bank fees and 300 for the preperation for the taxes. It's a major scam. I reported them to the BBB.

I just wanted to inform you that some of your statements are confusing.  I am not an employee or endorsed by the Instant Tax Service Corporation.  First of all, how is the company able to file a 1040EZ form when you claim dependents.  In order to use a 1040EZ, you would have to claim no dependents.  Also, if the agent files the information wrong and you were not adamant in your demands.  You may be facing an audit from the IRS.  If I were you, I would get on the phone with the IRS and if you don't call IRS.  I would have to presume that you are more upset of having $600+ and more taken out of your return.  You better make sure that you are not getting more than you are suppose to receive like Mo Money Taxes did to its consumer by inflating untruths.  I am just stating my opinions and have a nice day.  Just a friendly reminder, you can always go Turbo Tax and receive your refund in less than 10 days and only pay $60 rather than $600, which is quite exhorbitant...
