Instant Tax Service Misled Richmond, Virginia
The location of this business on Brook Rd. in Richmond Virginia presented themselves to provide a service that did not exist. The manager at the Richmond location reports to James who runs also the Newport News location.
- This company claims to offer the Refund Anticipation Loan and charges a fee for this service. As of January 20th, I was told by customer service representatives and location employees that no one ... No one with their service had been approved. With evidence I say that there are many people with different last names, Social Security number beginning and endings, using various tax preparation services who have received RALs. It is not an overall nationwide delay which is what I was told.
- This company gave consumers checks for the 'Holiday Loan', which their bank would not honor/cash.
As experienced by me and validated by others. I was provided $100 and locked into filing with this company. - Upon leaving the tax center, I was told that my paperwork was ready to be filed and would be sent out on January 17th. On January 20th, I received a call asking a question that I'd answered and made clear when I filled out paperwork and signed. At that time taxes had not been e-filed. I was even in the office on January 19th to check to see if the RAL had been approved for me. - This company is unorganized. They have files all over the place and have trouble finding consumers information and paperwork as experienced and observed. - I was charged $600 dollars in fees and am very dissatisfied with this service, Instant Tax Service.
