Our experience with Integrated Services is similar to  David Huntley's of Massachusetts as reported here on 10/08 under the Telemarketers category.  I will briefly describe some of the 'high points' however.

Received a call from LEON stating he was with QWEST.  Integrated Services is not only deceptive, they are flat out LIARS!  Leon stated that Federal regulations had made it necessary to change the billing for each of our lines...blah, blah, blah.... emphasized that nothing would change, simply the billing format.

I informed him we only did local phone service with Qwest and in-state long distance.  Again, he reassured me that nothing would change in that regard.

He switched me over to a third party 'verifier' -- then, from what I have heard from others, the tape recording starts.  Up until that point, when 'Leon' was speaking, nothing was being recorded.   Before switching me to the verifier, Leon expressly told me to answer YES to all questions from the verifier.  I stopped the verifier and again stated that none of our long distance was with Qwest other than in-state -- the verifier sent me back to Leon (and not being recorded again) who told me to answer YES to everything so that we could make this change successfully.  Again, back to the verifier, to start a new tape recording, and again I couldn't answer YES and told him we do not have our long distance with QWEST - again I was sent back to Leon and not being tape recorded as was done with the verifier.

I fell for it -- because they LIED stating they were QWEST and that nothing would change and this was only being done because of federal regulation changes.  Again, when you are sent to the verifier, the tape recording starts, that's why they need everything as a YES answer from those of us they slam.

When I received my next invoice from Qwest I had almost $400 in long distance charges around the US and international destinations.  The US destinations were more than what I had been paying my long distance provider and the international calls were double in most cases.  After a considerable amount of time on the phone with my long distance provider and Qwest we have now changed back to my LD provider.

Qwest removed the charges (charges appear as USBI on the invoice) from their invoice but I have a feeling Integrated Services or USBI will be trying to contact me. GOOD LUCK guys!   I have reported and filed complaints against Integrated Services to the Illinois Attorney General's office and the FTC and FCC.  If you are slammed by this company, please report them as well.

I'm an employee of Qwest. There is one thing that Qwest can also do to block unwanted charges. If you were to callin and ask for a "PIC freeze," we can put a block on any company from switching your Long Distance, unless you were to call in to Qwest and remove that freeze.

I always scratch my head though when I see people paying seperately for their Long Distance. Qwest 99 times out of a 100 has a better rate for domestic Long Distance then going to another company and paying a seperate bill from the local services.  For international Long Distance, Qwest can sometimes be higher, unless it's mexico and canada, then I think Qwest has the best rates.

If all else fails, just ask for a long distance freeze (PIC freeze)
