Integretel, Inc. Major RipOff /ripped off and scammed Mesa Arizona
On May 28, 2003, my disabled wife and I returned home and checked the mail. There was a $66.69 charge billed on my local phone company May 19, 2003 billing. I called them inquiring about a charge of $66.69 for 2 minutes long distance from Integrel, Inc. The local phone company customer service representative put the charge in dispute but said I'd have to call the (800) number on my billing to get it refunded or corrected.
I called (800) 736-7500 and talked to a lady. I inquired about the $66.69 charge on my local phone company's billing. She started in on me telling me she had some program that showed me surfing the net and applying for a website; www.Hotdate.com, a Love Dating Network, Inc. The charge was on April 17, 2003 (Easter Weekend), at 11:43 p.m., calling ONLINEDATE (900)226-6806 for 2 minutes. $60.00 plus taxes, totalling $66.69.
I told her I didn't care what kind of tracking program she had. There was no way that anyone from my home made that call. We were out of town visiting family. Didn't have the computer with us. (Yeah, I can see me loading up my Monitor, and complete system, so I can get online with a Hotdate....Ha Ha. But the lady at Integretel, Inc told me that I owed this charge. I told her I didn't make the call, and I d**n sure wasn't paying $30.00 per minute to use their Hotdate.com service.
These type of charges are becoming more and more REAL. This isn't the first time something was charged to me that shouldn't have been, but usually, there are no arguments at all. The other companies just clear it up and that's that. The lady representative at Integretel, Inc. wasn't going to listen to me. She had a computer program. I didn't make the call and I'm sticking to "NOT PAYING IT."
Something should be done about someone authorizing an outside company to put their collections on a local phone company's billings.
