My sister has been through some hard times. She is young and lost trying to enter the career world. She was job hunting for a while and not having a lot of luck. Finally she met International Marketing (aka) World Perfume. She met with them and they tell her they have a few postions avalible in our area for managers.

She is excited, her luck is fianally turning. Her friends, family and coworkers are just about to find out how vulnerable she is. International Marketing tells her that they are going fast track her training so she need to sell 50 bottles of FAKE perfume this week, and the person that sells the most wins $500.00 cash. She calls me up, I invite her to my office were I work with about 20 professionals, all of us thinking were getting a deal. "This is coloange or perfume that is the real stuff the only differance is it comes in a different package and bottle. Thats why it so cheap." My office orders 21 bottles to help her out. We thought that was a good start to winning the contest. Turns out there was no contest.

I have a box of imposture coloagne and perfume and I'm short about $650.00. Im going to try and return the product, I'll see if I get a refund.(Update on that to come) What sucks is they got my sisters hopes up, got her to use her friends and family and their friends to rip people off and make everyone look bad and look like fakes like them. I WILL CLOSE THEM DOWN!!! They messed with the wrorng guy. I have enough money in my bank accout that I can sit outside of their building and hand out flyiers and make sure all their "furture employees" know what they are getting ready to be offered. I was reading another Report on this site that when you quite this company they tell the others that "your a weenie that can not hack it in the buisness and will be washing there BMW's in a month." I own a BWM and will have the owners of this company begging to wash my car.

INTERNATIONAL MARKETING (AKA)WORLD PERFUME you picked on my little sister now its time to pick on you.....

**** You can easily shut down your local world perfume or scentura distributor: http://dcregistry.com/forums/employment/messages/8037.html ***** First of all, ask yourself what do the people in the above postings have to gain from what they are writing? It is obvious that the distributors who praise Neil and his company have a vested interest in the company. They do not want potential new recruits (30+ per week for as long as the company is in business) to read these negative postings, find out the overwhelming evidence against their "opportunity" and then decide to shut them down, just as I did to the local Salt Lake distributor I trained with in October 2002. Remember, Niel, this very rich businessman doesn't even have enough money to cover a check. If the distributor is that poor, how do you think his "employees" fare? I'd just like to post a response to say that I fully stand behind Neal and International Marketing. I completed my training program and am now running an office in Memphis, TN. Everything that was stated through out my training has more than proven to be true. I apologize that your sister was confused and did not fully understand the concept that was explained to her - however I do believe that you were both misinformed by your sister and wrong to jump to conclusions. Also, please note that International Marketing is not the same company as World Perfume. World Perfume is simply one of the suppliers from which the company receives products. Thank you International Marketing for the oppertunities you've both given and continue to give. Amanda

I started training the same week as this young man's sister. Which means we sat through the same meetings and took the same notes. One of the things that they stressed was not to misrepresent the product. Obviously there was a misunderstanding between the two of you. They made no claim that the renditions they carry are directly from the designers or that they have same packaging. They explained thoroughly how the fragrances were made and helped us to explain them. About the contest, I actually sold more than she did and all of my customers were satisfied with the product. The extra $500 wasnt given out because the group goal that we came up with was not met. I feel they made it very clear. I was informed that I had to wait until the end of the week to get my commission because I had accepted checks and credit cards as form of payment for the products. I think that is understandable in any business, especially in a small business. I actually have already received my commission for the products I sold. I have no complaints about my job, I enjoy it and I know where I can go if I work hard. I don't really understand how someone who has never been a part of the company can make claims about it.

In response to tim's situation, a refund needs to be issued. When he first brought the refund up, I had asked him if we could do the refund by cashier's check or money order the following day. Yet, he insisted on leaving with something at that time. So, I went against my better judgment and had a check issued to him. I regret making this decision, because it has lengthened a problem, which should already be solved. When I gave him the check I had told him, the funds would not be available that day and funds would have to be transferred into that account. We are a small business that does not handle millions of dollars on a daily or weekly basis. I apologize for any inconvenience which it has caused him. The credit card refund has already been issued. I still feel the easiest way to resolve the whole issue is for him to come into the office with the check issued to him and we replace the check with a money order or cashier's check. If it is a problem for him to come into the office, we could make arrangements for someone to meet him and give him the refund. Tomorrow morning, the office will try to contact him to rectify this situation. I am sorry this matter could not have been solved easier and better.

World Perfume uses young innocent girl to rip off friends family and coworkers

After posting my last comments titled "International Marketing (aka) World Perfume uses young innocent girl to rip off friends family and coworkers destroying her integrity and respect. Rip off business from hell Lee Summit Missouri I went down to the place of business on June 12th 2003 and spoke to the head manager Neil Johnson at International Marketing. He tried hard to justify their business and how they do business. It still sounded like a joke. Finally I got him to write me a check, and he agreed to refund a credit card that was used for part of the purchase my office had made. I did not feel comfortable leaving his place of business without some type of compensation. He said he did not feel comfortable writing a check to me until he receives notice from my bank and his that my check had cleared. He agrees to write me a check dated for the 13 of June(post dating the check for one day) I feel he is trying to meet me half way to get me out of his office. I agree if anything now he will write me a check, and I can walk away even from this nightmare. No harm done right? WRONG this so called reputable company International Marketing writes me a check that is no good. The second I leave his office, before I even leave the parking lot, I call his bank. The teller kindly tells me that the check will not clear. (Ok in fairness the check is dated for the 13th today is the 12th) I wake up at 8am make a cup of coffee and call the bank. Funds are still not available. The time is now 12:00pm I called the bank and funds are still not available. HUMMMMM lets think here. This is a company promising to open up offices all over the states of Kansas and Missouri, and they can not even write a check for $526.00. What the heck is going on here? More to come I assure you!

Tim... Best of luck to you in your mission. Handing out flyers to potential employees is a good idea. You'll need to find out when they do their hiring. Usually MLMs bring in multiple people at once for "interviews," giving you the opportunity to target your efforts when they will be most effective. Just make sure to stay off of their property when you do so, and take any trespass warnings seriously. You're goal is admirable, but there's no need to get yourself in trouble with the law. Also, make sure that any flyers you hand out only describe you or your sister's personal experiences, or other information known to be factual, such as the number of complaints against this company on this site. People like you are these guys' worst enemy and they will try hard to stop you, don't give them the opportunity to flex their legal muscle.(However, please keep in mind that I am not a lawyer and there may be other issues involved here that I don't know anything about) I also hope that you seek some kind of restitution for the phony products you paid so much for. If they are fraudulently marketing their products as "the same as" or "identical to" another product, then the product you paid for and the product you recieved were different things. It would seem to me that you are entitled to a refund. It would be like if you paid for a Cadillac and they gave you a Cavalier. Another very effective tactic against companies like this is to attack the means by which they bring in people like your sister. Here's how you do this: check with your local paper and see if they have a rule that "help wanted" ads must offer bona fide employment, not business opportunities or commissioned positions. Most newspapers have this rule but are unaware of who is violating it. If your local paper does have this rule, and this company is advertising under "help wanted," you can bring it to the paper's attention. The paper will disallow further "help wanted" ads from this company, and they will be forced to advertise under a different category that more accurately describes their "opportunity." Not only will this help to prevent others from being victimized like your sister, but it will greatly interfere with the way this company conducts their business, which is unethical and SHOULD be interfered with. Best of luck to you!
