Internet Advancement, 4GreatBuys ripoff - did not provide services promised Redmond Washington
Internet Advancement/4GreatBuys contacted me in January (2003) about my website. After discussing the IA program and rates with an account rep, I signed a contract for their website promotion services. However, even though I paid monthly, I received fewer hits to my website than when I was promoting it myself!
After a few months of paying but receiving no response from IA, I tried repeatedly -- seven times -- to speak with my account rep about how my website was being promoted. No response. Finally, after the date had lapsed for filing for a refund and I filed a report with the BBB, a new account rep contacted me.
I was told, verbally and in writing, that Internet Advancement would again attempt to promote my website for 60 more days. Then, if the promises of my original contract were not met, I would receive a full refund. So, documenting everything, I told them to go ahead with the website promotion.
Again, I could see nothing happening as far as website promotion! I attempted to contact my account rep both through phone calls and emails, but got very little response. (He left a message on my machine which obviously mistook me for another client!) So, again I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau...
Within a few days, my rep called me, submitted my need for a full refund, and I received all of the money back. However, be warned that Internet Advancement is not a reliable company and should not be used!!!
