I contracted Intraglobe to provide a container and unpacking services from Canada to Germany.  I got a quote for the move, which was reasonable.  The quote I asked for specifically included a grand piano, and I had discussions about how best to crate it to fit it in the container. Everything went well until the container actually disappeared from my house.

 When I arrived in Germany I got a note from the agent here saying that he'd just received the paperwork for the container (the paperwork arrived on the same day as the container) and he'd had no time to prepare anything (the paperwork normally arrives weeks before the container).  As a result of the paperwork delay, I was charged an extra 4000 Euros for demurrage at the port. In addition, Intraglobe refused to acknowledge that they'd quoted for a grand piano and I had to pay an extra 330 euros unpacking fee for it.  The door to door time for the container was almost 8 weeks.

 The company refused any responsibility for the extra charges in spite of the emails I have to the contrary, both from them and the German moving agent.
