Found a portable ice maker much cheaper through Invies.com. Order on December 2. Order was supposed processed and would be delivered Dec. 8-11. Had to pay through an Amazon code.

Replies to email came back undeliverable. Now the website is unavailble.  Website is through GoDaddy.com.  Contacted them but they must have a court order to release info about who has this site.

This is the risk of making purchases online. Its NOT going to get any better!! The problem is this....YOU the consumer are looking at a PICTURE!!! Youre not holding said item. YOU get a picture and a description and YOU throw money at it!! Then you get all shocked and butthurt that the product that YOU only see a picture of and a description of doesn't arrive. As I said before, its NOT going to get any better. The online thieves know EXACTLY how lazy and slothful the American Consumer REALLY is. Think about it for a min. Instead of calling around or driving around and finding and purchasing this item, YOU went online. YOU found it at a price YOU were comfortable with and YOU made the purchase. It was EASIER for you to just go online then it was for YOU to do the leg work. Then we get to the price. AS I said, it was a price YOU could live with. Meaning that it was probably some third party web site run by criminals. Who NOW have not only your address, phone number, banking information, card information, OH!!! AND YOUR MONEY!!! NOW YOU are stuck!!! THEY have your money and there is no safe way to get it back. While they may not be responding to YOUR emails. I can tell you that they WILL respond to a banks email. Saying something like YOU signed a online agreement so you don't get a remedy there. Stick with the brick and mortar stores. That way YOU get to hold the item, YOU get to the item IMMEDIATLY, and IF you need a refund, YOU can go into the store and get one. Eventually people will wise up and stay away from the web for purchases. Until that day comes, we will continue to see a rise in the crime rate online. There is no internet police!!! Sure the NSA can spy on you but THEY wont step in and resolve a online dispute.
