IPayment, Inc. Merchant Services SMALL BUSINESS MERCHANTS BEWARE OF IPAYMENT, INC Calabasas, California
My company has been paying a fortune over the past years to IPAYMENT, INC. and suddenly a problem developed when I asserted my rights to recover money being held without any notice or a phone call. For over a month I had been trying to reach the rep but he was either on another call, gone on vacation, gone for the day, not available. All the excuses you can imagine. I left my messages on the phone regarding my concerns but never received any kind of communication from them meanwhile they are holding $1,293.00 and who knows if they will be trying to with hold more. When I tried to use my terminal, I discovered that without telling me whatsoever, closed my account due to my insisting phone calls demanding to know what is going on. So I signed with another service with better rates and customer service. Meanwhile, it was necessary for me to contact an attorney who is now trying to get information and see what recourse we have. So far I am out merchandise, funds and a now secretly a closed account. And, I have incurred attorney fees to hopefully recoup such funds. I would recommend merchants seek out other payment processing companies because in the end, this company play underhandedly. With a lawyer now, I don't think they will be doing any more underhanded things with a legal consequence. Beware.
