Actually the ONLY reason we even tried this IPoP audition was because my daughter's aunt thought it would be fun for her. They advertised using Disney. I'm all about trying different things. My daughter doesn't play basketball or softball or any other sport. She enjoys the arts like ballet. Photographers across our state are constantly using her for their advertising because she loves it!
If my kids like to do something I highly encourage them. When she got chosen they gave us the paperwork to take home. The agent involved knew right away she was already a model because we told him so, and remember they also got to look at her comp card the next day. Anyway, when we got home our agent wanted to know how it went and her aunt sent flowers to congratulate her. After speaking to our agent and telling her how much they loved her ,she advised us not to take our checkbook because they were looking to be paid. She had never heard of them and she's been in the business almost thirty years and works internationally. I'm not certain why anyone would lie about being a model because "Who cares if some unknown person doesn't know if she is or not. This message was to all the people who think they need to pay money to get their daughter involved. Basically,if your child has the "look" your agent wants and they make money from commercials ,print,or runway then they will have work available. When we did go back to the second audition I was ready for them. Told them what I thought..went out to the rest of the group and exposed IPop for the cheaters and liars they are...then happily handed out our agent's cell phone number and address. You see there are people in this world who just want to help other people. No gain for us except my daughter was told again how beautiful and talented she was. Of course this was mainly addressed to the people who really don't know the biz yet.

Anyone who knows anything about the entertainment industry knows that you Do not pay out of pocket for representation, and once you have an agent, talent manager, or model manager, you do not pay out of pocket for head shots or any other photo work done.
If your child already was signed to an agency, and already has representation, what in the world were you doing at iPOP?? I don't doubt that this iPOP deal is a scam, but, I have some doubts about the nice little spin you put on your daughters career.
