Well I'm a sucker, my kids heard the add to audition to be on the Disney channel or other similar shows and begged to go.  Not knowing much about these things, we went, after they auditioned we were told we made it and asked to pay a staggering fee for classes and a chance to move on to LA for a final show.

We opted to not go then received a phone call telling us how great potential our kids had and we could sign up for a reduced fee.

Not sure what to think we went ahead, after attending a few classes I realized what it was.  They are searching for talent and letting the non talent pay for the cost.  The people who seemed to have the talent were invited to a masters acting class.  The non talent wasn't and you could tell who was who.  Since we were part of the finalists.  I expected to see some stiff competition of which there were a few "the masters class"  but many were far from.  I paid way too much for some disorganized not so great classes.   So essentially, you won the opportunity to pay them lots of money.

JRP/IPOP/Ron Patterson

I have to admit I have been through a rollercoaster of emotions regarding this company.  My son auditioned and was told that he got a callback.  I was so excited.

Then I went home and researched the company.  I found both positive and very negative reviews.  I went back and discussed these reviews with Ron Patterson, President of the company, who helped me become comfortable with the company.  He never once promised that we would be stars overnight.

I did see where he was honest with people on whether he thought they were going to be able to make it or not.  He was honest with models who were not 5’11” for girls or 6’ for men that they we were not going to make it.  He told children if they were shy there was no way they were going to make it.  Ron knows almost all the agents in the business.

Ron’s group helps you to get ready to look your best for your audition.  He took my son who had basically no training to the point where he got first runner up for scene actor age 13 to 18 at the 2013 IPOP Auditions.  He then provided the best possible environment for you to meet with the best agents in the business.

I don’t know yet whether my son will make it or not.  But after working with Ron, he got 11 callbacks with agents and I know that he was definitely given his shot.  They say that it’s all about being in the right place at the right time and Ron definitely made sure you have that opportunity.
