J C Financials Sarah Smith Michael Edwards Sara Dose Consumer's Reward Program Lottery scam saying you won 39,000 including a 3,900 check Niagara Falls Ontario
The letter comes to you as a final notification to claim your prize money of 39,000. The letter states "You have been aproved for the lump sum payment of $39,000 credited to an account with the above Claim Number. This amount is drawn from the total prize of $480,000 shared among the North American Winners in the category. Previous attempt to contact you directly on December 3, 2008 failed, resulting in this final notification. For security reasons, we advise that you keep this award from public notice until your claims have been finalized. This will help us precent fraud and double claims. In order to facilitate speedy and hassle free processing of your claim, we have deducted #3,900 from your total prize to enable you pay for the applicable Tax. Please contact one of your agents Sarah Smith or Michael Edwards at 905-781-2863 as soon as your receive this notification, they will assist you in finalizing your claim."

The Check that was included was made out to me for $3,900 and looks completely offical. The check has the security featuers you might find in a money order from your bank or any type of offical check from employment or the government. The bank is a real bank "People's Bank Connecticut" but doesn't include any address or phone numbers. I took the check to my bank to see what they had to say about it and the chasier said he has seen several of these type of checks lately and it is a scam.
The Company and area code are from Canada and the street address doesn't exist. This is a very crude scam to do to people around the holidays and in the type of economy we are in.
