We built a house with J. Greg Allen Builders, Inc. ("GAB") We took out a construction loan at the beginning of the process. As work was completed, GAB would take draws against my loan from the bank. The bank would not release a draw without a signed lien waiver from GAB stating that all sub-contractors had been paid up to date. We moved into our house in September.
Towards the end of the project, we began to hear that GAB was paying very slowly. I had a few subs contact me and I worked with GAB to make sure they were paid.
However, now I am learning that even more have not been paid. One sub may try to file a lawsuit against me (and other homeowners).
We paid for this house in full. GAB took all of our loan proceeds but failed to pay the subs. I want GAB to pay the sub-contractors in full.

As an employee of one of the sub-contractors who did not get paid. I know first hand that no lien waivers were signed off by the sub-contractors. If the banks have such lien waivers than fraud and forgery have been committed. Go after Greg with that.

I am happy to say that Greg Allen has been communicating and working with me the past few days. I am hopeful that he may resolve the problem by the end of the week. All I asked is that he try to make it right and it seems he is trying to do so. I will continue to update.
