J & S Photography, Steven Eckhoff ripoff dishonest photographer with held pictures and negatives Rome Georgia
Getting married is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. My wedding day was riddled with problems, as it was the only day that winter that we had an ice storm in Atlanta.
However almost everything went on without any problems. We had to make a few adjustments, but they all got done. My photographer's wife evidently held no tact at all and was more than happy to inform me of her opinions on older sister even calling her a curse word, consistent with a female dog, while I am having my pictures taken. She came to me and tells me about some conflict occurring while I was trying to smile pretty for the camera, I guess she didn't realize that it was a most inappropriate time.
My husband then told me on our honeymoon that the photographer's wife kissed him on the neck when she cornered him alone. I was very angry at her very apparent bad behavior and trying to ruin my wedding day.
The big nightmare began when I tried to get my wedding photographer to get me what was originally promised to me. The only problem was this was my husband's co-worker in an entirely different industry and as such, there was no written contract, just a handshake and trust that he would not stab us in the back.
All that I asked for was I get a copy of all the photos on a cd or cd's at the end and Steven happily agreed. The total price would be $500.00 and I was never informed about any of the package details or given any paperwork to sign, etc.
When it came down to it, Steven charged me an extra $280 to get the prints that I did order, and he did not give me what he said was my original package which were an additional (60) 4x6's. I have requested them several times now. He also refused to give me all of my photos on cd, but he did supply me with 2 cd's that had some of the photos, which shows me that his intent was to originally supply me with the photos on cd, but changed his mind when I actually paid him the extra $280.00.
The moral of the Story is J & S Photography run by Steven and Joan Eckhoff is a rip-off and the wife will make sure to ruin your special day. Just say no.

I did not make the promises to this person which she said I did not keep. We submitted all the information of what transpired to the area BBB and they reviewed it. My only mistake was not having a written contract. It was a verbal agreement between me and the husband (someone I had worked with for years). She was never involved.
