Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am writing because I have been a member of this ipower prepaid card since 2008, yes like others I have had problems with the customer service fees how can they make you pay to call them and bring to their attention mistakes they made on your acct. This one in particular just literally caused me much pain and aggravation I often cry because I cant believe they are even still in business and they rip people off. On September 21, 2010 I awoke to my satellite services being off so I paid the co. $54.87 to restore my service, in which another payment was allowed of $54.87 which made me over paid and i only authorized 1 payment. I immediately called ipower to let them know that i did not authorize 2 payment and i only owed one. The rep i spoke to was very unprofessional and discourteous argued that my problem was with the satellite co not them. I then hung up and called back demanding a supervisor whom i received by the name of Erick i explained my situation and he told me if provided proof that only 1 payment was owed he would reverse the 2nd payment as per he did. After that I had a deposit on 09-28-10 for $50 that was missing so i called ipower again and asked what happened to my deposit they said they took it because another transaction went through for $54.87 on the 24th of Sept in which made me overdrawn when i questioned them about the charge again i did not authorize all they can say is take it up with the satellite co again. So at this point I conferenced the co which is Dish Network and ipower said that Dish illegally forced a transaction through the account, so Dish executive office reply was well why would you pay out a transaction that was illegally forced through and ipowers response was we had a glitch in the system we are checking on that sir. So that call ended I then went to check my account online and i could not get through, I called in to customer service and could not get through so finally i figured something was wrong here i called back ipower and input my husbands card info and got straight to a rep I then demanded a supervisor and he told me my account was still active but closed due to them pursuing Dish for fraud. I asked them why this is under investigation what happens to my account he replied it will be on hold for 45 days until all monies is returned. On oct 4, 2010 i noticed my new direct deposit had not went to my new bank so i called PA dept of treasury and they said they got it too late it was still going to go to ipower card I advised the manager that that account had issues and had been closed. She called ipower and spoke to a Brian Whipple from ipower who spoke to her about my account telling her its closed due to overdrafts and if i needed to get money out of the account i knew how because i have done it before. I was floored in tears I replied excuse me how can I get money from and closed account they do not have walk in branches they are not a real bank like Wachovia, i also asked who was this rep to disclose any of my account info to her (dept of treasury pa) without my consent. I immediately called ipower and conferenced the call with pa dept of treasury and this supervisor assured us that even though the account is closed pending investigation they will not accept my direct deposit they will reject it and the dept of treasury should get it back in 2-4 days, so the manager of treasury asked ipower supervisor do i have your word she asked twice and the supervisor replied yes. Now i get and email alert today which is 10-6-2010 at 3:03am and its from ipower they did not reject my deposit it in fact is still sitting there and when i called a rep told me it would sit in the account for 45 days pending the investigation is done and then i would have to wait another 7-10 business days excluding holidays for me to get another card because they closed my card, and to top it all off they hit me with telling me i would be responsible to pay for the card as well. Hello everyone does not live the glamorous life my 5 children and I live off of my unemployment benefits alone and this week is rent week they put me in a bind and also charged me several customer service fees for the calls back and forth to ipower not forgetting all the times they reps drop the call and i had to call back. Is there any relief from this company if any one can point me in the right direction I would love to sue them. I suffer from depression and anxiety and if i had a dollar from all the panic and anxiety attacks which are painful they fill like a heart attack, if i had a dollar from all the times i had one over dealing with ipower i would be rich and there are no contact info to get to whomever owns this card i have wrote the address given to me and no response ever was received, when I called Jackson Hewitt Corporate they say they have nothing to do with the card they are not in charge.
