Signed up online to be a mystery shopper. On Saturday April 9, 2016 received a money order for $975 To be cashed. I was to keep $200 for myself, spend $20 in walmart, 12 for trasnfer fees from money gram and transfer the remainder funds which were $743 to Glenn Beckham in Chicago, Illonois. When I checked my account this morning all my funds were gone as the money that was sent to me was bad. Received three more money orders for the same amount this morning. When I texted the number that I was told to text in regards to the money order being bad I received a text saying "not at all." I have been texting that number since 1430. This Garray guy said he worked for Walmart Inc.

SCAM Very Common Mystery Shopping Scam

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sun, April 17, 2016

There is NO Mr. Garray. He is using a fake name. He is a scammer. No Mystery Shopping EVER pays $200. Most mystery shopping assignments pay $10-15 and it takes 60 days to be paid and that is IF your assignment is accepted.

You can sign up for legitimate mystery shopping by visited MSPA.com. There are links to REAL mystery shopping companies. You will notice most of the REAL mystery shopping companies have a WARNING in RED telling you they NEVER EVER pay you in ADVANCE. NEVER!!! To NEVER cash checks for large amounts, EVER! The checks are FAKE! In REAL mystery shopping: You do the assignment at the designated place, day and time. You go home and fill out your report online. You wait 60 days to be paid and that is by Paypal. YOU NEVER are asked to cash a check for a mystery shopping company. NEVER!
