Were you physically forced into signing the contract for the car? I simply do not understand how someone can purchase a car that is on a car lot without looking at, or better yet, driving it first. I have also been in a situation, such as yourself, in which my credit was poor and I had limited options when it came to buying, and financing, car. However, I still had the ability to walk away from a dealership if I was not allowed to inspect the car I was buying. I actually purchased a car once that was not in very good condition (to say the least), but I was aware of the condition that the car was in because I LOOKED at, and DROVE, it first. I know that there are a lot of crooked car dealers out there, but do you feel any responsibility for this situation? Also, 80,000 miles on a 2001 car is not that high. The average car does 10 - 15 thousand miles a year. Your car averages out at 13 thousand a year.
