JC Contracting Jarred Cook Shoddy workmanship, took the money and RAN!! New Harbor, Maine
Hired JC Contracting to do renovations on my house. Jarred Cook, the responsible party, told me that I couldn't find a better contractor for the price, that he had built 75 homes, and had over 20 years experience. He also gave me a line of BS, like, "my father taught me that you always have to make your customer happy, no matter if it's money out of your pocket."
This was total fabrication. He left the job half finished, always complained that he was short of money and couldn't pay his workers. He signed the contract for a given amount, but never finished the job after he got his share of my money.
On top of it all, he showed me a quote for the cabinets that I wanted, then did not purchase the cabinets that I thought we agreed upon. He bought some cheap cabinets from a bargain basement, and charged me the price for the good ones.
I was ripped off, and totally infuriated by this. To top it all off, I can't find the guy to press charges. His address is no longer valid. STAY AWAY from him, you will regret your decision if you hire him.

Jarred is not the owner of JC Contracting in the first place..his twin brother Jason Cook is (same initials). Jarred has a reputaion as a compulsive liar and i know first hand as i am the mother of his 2 children that he has nothing to do with for the last 16+ years. He owes me $50,000 in back child support and has claimed for the last 10+ years that he "just can find work" or has some illness that limits him working...he is not trustworthy and i would not suggest anyone use him for a contractor. If you are looking for him as of today i believe he is back in Maine at his mothers house at 128 s****.>
