About a week ago, I was at Aventura Mall with my cousin to see a movie when I also needed to get some new gelpolish put on since I didn't have time to go to my usual place near my work in Pembroke Pines.I remembered there being a salon in JCPenney that did my waxing one time so I went to do my nails. The receptionist does have an attitude but the girl who did my waxing was very nice so I decided to go back anyway. When I went I got greeted by the usual receptionist and gave her my name and told her I wanted to get a gelpolish done and pedicure as well. She quoted me the price $70 for everything and I only agreed because I had no time to go anywhere else. Then, she told me to wait since the next nail tech would be in shortly.I waited about 20 minutes until she has arrived and the receptionist gave me my receipt and told me to follow the nail tech for my service. She asked me, "so you're getting the service done?"I replied, "yes" and she showed me the color selection.I chose a color similar to the one I had brought for my pedicure. When she came back I told her I had my own color for my pedicure and she said she had the same color in gelpolish and so I decided to do the same color on both my hands and feet.

During the service, she was quite unsure of what she was doing and also texting on her phone while I was waiting for my gelpolish to come off.Once the gelpolish was cured, she took me to go get my pedicure and the polish felt tacky and kept getting dust on it.During the pedicure, the receptionist kept coming in and asking when she would be done because there was a wax waiting for her.The massage chair kept turning off on me and the pedicure bath kept overflowing with bubbles. She didn't foot file my feet properly and I still had hard rock island feet. She did a good job putting on the polish though,I'll give her that. She put a whole bunch of oil on my feet to cover up the fact she didn't file my heel to smoothness and so I was slipping in my sandals as I was walking the whole day.She asked me if my nails felt ok and I said they felt tacky. She asked me what to do and I told her to rub some alcohol on them to remove the tacky layer which she did,I thanked her and didn't want to be mean since she was new to her job but I won't ever go to JCPenney salon for my nails or hair anymore.

Once I was at the reception area, the receptionist asked me if she was good and not wanting to compromise her job I said she needs practice so she can get better. So I paid and left. But that service with lumpy gelpolish that came off the next day and rock hard oiled feet was not worth $70.Next time I need my nails done, I will just go to my usual nail salon that treats me much better and is also worth the price which is very affordable.
