JCPenny Cheated out of a $10 gift card Manchester Connecticut
On December 12,2007 I called JCPenny catalog to make a purchase after the representative asked me if I would be interested in joining the Family Rewards Program-I initially said no because I don't go to Blockbuster Video or any of the other retailers that much to get anything out of it, she said I could read it over and cancel if it is not for me and receive the $10 gift card anyway. I agreed, so when I got the kit, I cancelled.
I called Family Rewards and JCPenny to make absolutely sure of what to send in. I sent in my original sales receipt(I made a copy for myself) plus the voucher that came with the kit on December 18, 2007. I called Family Rewards the first week of January, 2008, gave them all the information and was told that they never received it. I know I sent it in, I even called my local Office Depot to check to see if I mistakenly left everything there-they said no. I made the copies there. I do not have anything at home so they had to have gotten it.
I realize that it did not cost me anything because I did cancel right away, but I feel that I have been cheated out of the $10 gift card that I was promised. I will never do that again! I do a lot of business with JCPenny and the least they could do is deal with a reputable company that follows through on what is offered.
