I was sold a car by jdbyrder in bloomington a ford taurus 99 after buying it it started having trouble within the first week. I started doing some checking and found out the car was sold to me for way more than it is worth. Needless to say the car was put in the shop and said was fixed but within a week the car was once again broke down. That car was in the shop a total of i think 7 times in a couple of months.

I finally convinced them to take the car back and get me one that was better. They took it back and I got a 2001 sephia kia and thought i was getting a better car. After having that car a couple of weeks it seemed the cars transmission was acting up and my check engiene light was on. I took it in and they told me they fixed the check engiene light and that there was nothign wrong with the transmission.

A couple more weeks went by and it got worse so i went back and another guy looked and told me the same thing. Then a couple of weeks later my car wouldnt even start so i called them and they came and picked up the car and told me it had a short that fried the battery and and that transmission was gone well go figure that. Im a woman but i know somehting about cars. They told me they fixed it after having it for over a week and so i picked it up.

About 10 days later now the car was doing the same thing and wouldnt start and the transmission was acting up again and you cant move the stick shift from park to drive and i think the battery again is fried. im sick of what i am going threw. I pay my car poayments on time on a car that is a lemon and my warranty runs out in about 5000 miles and then i think i will be stuck paying for a car they sold me more than its worth and the car will be not running.

Can someone please help me im tired of car dealers taking advantage of me especially when i am a woman too.

Did you have the car inspected?

Did you have either of the cars inspected by a mechanic? I work for a Used Car Dealer. It is your right to have any vehicle inspected by your mechanic. That way you don't have to go through the mess you are going through. At our dealership we welcome people to take the car to a mechanic of their choice. That protects both the customer and dealer. If the dealer is repretable they will not have a problem with it because it is the law. It is stated on the AS-IS sticker on the car window on the back of the form. Sure the inspections may cost you up to $40 - $50 however if there is a problem with the car you just saved yourself a major headache. Sometimes if you have a regular mechanic they might even charge you next to nothing to look at a car for you to purchase.
