I was dealing with Christian( [email protected]) and then Jean Francois ([email protected]) from short term rental in April about a reservation .
Christian(( [email protected]) stopped responding to my emails totally and Jean Francois ([email protected]) started dealing with me on this case.

They say on their website that "Our staff will answer you within 24 hours. " but no body here responds to you in 24 hours and when you tell them you dont want their services they still charge your credit card..

so Jean took over and also did not respond in a timely fashion and On April 6th i sent Jean an email that i have to make reservations else where because i have to send shengen visa application. And the embassy will not approve my visa application without the hotel reservations. In response to that email, Jean Francois acknowledged below - (i am copying his email below)

Subject: RE: Booking instructions  - Your apartment in Paris

Bonjour

We are sorry to hear that as you did not even gave us the time to confirm the booking.
If you change your mind the apartment is still available

Meilleures salutations

Best regards

Jean Franois

But I found out on 4/7/2011 that a charge of $500.49 was posted to my credit card by S.T.R.
despite me sending an email to Jean on 4/6/2011, informing that I am not interested in taking their apartment anymore.

So now within 24 hours he quickly 'fraudulently' charged my credit card despite knowing the fact that I have booked another hotel because i needed the proof for the visa..

I immediately called S.T.R at the phone number listed on Jean Francois email 033.1.42.78.67.14 to request for cancellation of charges, but they would not pick my calls. So I left them a voice mail requesting for cancellation and also my phone number. However they never responded to my voice mail.

I sent multiple emails to Jean. Details below -
I sent Jean Francois from S.T.R, an email on 4/7/2011 inquiring if they have made this reservation in an error, and reminding that I had requested them the day before that I do not want to do this reservation.
Even after sending the above email, the S.T.R. did not cancel the reservation. I got a email from S.T.R. on 4/13/2011 providing me the details of my arrival information in Paris for this reservation.
I responded to S.T.R. on 4/13/2011 asking them if my reservation has not yet been cancelled, as I had requested the cancellation earlier.
I got a response from Jean Francois from S.T.R on 4/14/2011 that the reservation has not been cancelled.
I sent a response back to S.T.R on 4/14/2011 requesting them one last time to cancel the reservation. I also told them that if they do not cancel then I will have to open a dispute with the credit card company. I did not get a response to this email

Since after the repeated requests to cancel the reservation, they kept ignoring me ....
i have had a very unpleasant experience with Jean Francois in this matter.

do not rent apartments from this company and absolutely do not deal with this Jean Francois guy ..they will rip you off.

Yes, Christian - this is the first i am hearing from you in 2 months. i contacted you in the beginning of April to book the apartment and you vanished.... your company dishonestly charged my card and you never even sent me an email..and today you are coming on this website and saying that this was cancellation fee.
You never even sent me a confirmation so how is there a cancellation??
think your self who is cheating here?

what about responding in 24 hours?

now they are saying that madam signed a contract and giving an education on French Law.

they asked me to sign some papers written in french to book the apartment and Madam Christian Totally Vanished and stopped responding. Jean responded once and then vanished again for days...their website says they will respond in 24 hours and even after 6 days of waiting and writing them emails i did not have the apartment.

i needed to show proof of stay for my visa application to french embassy and hence i had to rent another apartment to which Jean Francois responded he is Sorry to see me go and apartment is still available if i need. Now the same dishonest Jean Francois is giving us an education on French Law. if jean had responded to me in 24 hours by booking the apartment i would have no reason to no stay with you.

collectively christian and jean francois did not respond to me for more than 6 days. and as soon as i tell jean and christian that for the purpose of visa application i booked another hotel and i do not need your hotel - what does Jean say "sorry, to see you go, apartment is still available if i need"
note that even at this time jean francois is not telling me any thing about signed contract or that he is planning to dishonestly charge my card!!!

next day he changes his mind and charges my card. note that this is the 6th day of my interaction with this fraudulent company short term rental S.A.R.L  - and they said on website they will respond withing 24 hours??
besides why give an assurance sorry to see you go ...etc when all all along your plan is to not respond to the clients in time and once the client gives their credit card information charge the card and dishonestly make the money.

Good morning,
I was in contact with this person in order to book the apartment.

She was awared about all the rental conditions, have signed the rental lease and have send it back. At this time we have charged the downpayment, which is not refundable in case of cancellation. All of this is written on our website.

PLEASE note we also propose to our clients a cancellation insurance, the cost is 3.5% of the total rent, but this persnon didn't want to subscribe it...
So in conclusion, we were on our right to charge the downpayment and proceed to the booking procedure.

Regards,
Christian

We just would like to point out that in  this file this madam has sign us and send us back the rental contract together with the credit card authiorisation form so that she has accepted our general terms and conditons and confirm that she wanted to confrim the booking. As you know according to the Frenc law once you have sign the contract you can charge for the rental fees that are non refundable (see our general terms and conditions sign by the custumer). And then she change our mind and decide to rent another apartement probably cheaper adn wanted us to refund. We are not sure at this point who is dishanest? We rent apartement to many peolple and have never have had such problem.
