We bought a couch and two matching Leather chairs from Jennifer Leather 5 years ago. We were convinced to buy the $250 Extended Warranty, after being told that ANY failure of the couch or ANY kind of damage would be repaired or the couch would be replaced. We had the set for 2 years when, at the top of the back of the couch, the wood frame pushed up just from normal use of the couch and now there are two major rips above the pillows on the couch. The pillows are attached. We talked to an upholsterer and he says it cannot be fixed unless they take the entire couch apart. We attempted to use the extended warranty. Jennifer sent a man to our house and, the minute he walked in the door, the first words out of his mouth were "nope, that's from abuse". Abuse? How do you abuse a COUCH? By sitting on it? We DID NOT abuse our couch. Obviously, he had planned to say this before he even got to our house. We fought with them for over 2 years and they refuse to do anything about it. So they took our $250, sold us a poorly made couch (which looked like a very nice couch to begin with), and we are stuck with a couch with two major rips that are very ugly. We were ripped off and I will never buy another thing from this company. Nor will I buy another extended warranty for anything. I waited this long to complain because I thought we could get something done but as it turns out nothing can be done except trash the couch. And I'm not made of money, so that won't be happening any time soon. Don't buy from Jennifer!

You can abuse a couch but the photos do not look like abuse.  On your last photo, showing the length of the couch, it looks like the same thing is happening at the other end of that center cushion.

I don't know where you live.  Check your closest big city newspaper and see if they have a consumer help columnist.  Here in the Chicago area, papers owned by  Sun Times Media  have "The Fixer" she would love this one.

Matter of fact, I found Rip Off Report because she once said this was a great place for consumers to turn too.

Thank you for the report though. We need a new couch for the family room and now know Jennifer is a bad place to buy from.
