Jenny Savage San Diego Houzz scam from Oslo, Norway Houzz Scam Interior Design oslo California
I was contacted by Jenny Savage through the Houzz website for design services to be performed in her new home located in San Diego, CA. She told me she was moving from Oslo, Norway with her baby and wonderful husband and is in dire need of a designer to accept delivery of furniture, install all the items and "kitchen utensils"....first red flag.
What was weird was her description of her husband and how much she loved him and her baby (most clients don't go into this kind of detail on first email.) I didn't even reply since her email description of her posessions and request for payment via "certified check" was so odd. Also, she gave me the address of the home right away without asking which client's generally don't do until we have an agreement.
I perused the internet for Houzz Scams and couldn't find a Houzz fraud dept. so I posted here. Didn't take me more than a few clicks on my keyboard.
Fellow Designers Beware! Do not give this woman any of your information.
