Jim Walter ripoff, failure to perform work, failure to live up to contract Baton Rouge Louisiana
My house was not build in a timely manner. Weeks went by with no activity. When house was ?? finished, it was in horrible condition. I was tired of trying to get Robert Smith of Watson, LA, builder with Jim Walter, to do any work correctly.
I finally moved in realizing that it would never be fixed correctly. When moved in, I filed a warranty. In a few months the claim was opened. However, Jim Walter was not willing to do what was necessary to satisfy me in fixing the house. Weeks have gone by and we are at a stalemate. I am in process with talking with Keith in Jackson, MS. I am so tired of living in a piled up house with building materials all over the place, unfinished sections, partly no carpet or vinyl. The walls/ceiling junction is horrible and needs to either be taken down or crown molding installed. Floors are unlevel, walls are out of plumb, etc., etc. I have been waiting for a plumber to come out for 3 months. Mark English tells me each time that he will be out tomorrow. Same ole song and dance routine.
Can anyone out there help me? I feel that Jim Walter owes me so much more than they can give just for pain, aggravation, and suffering (stress, frustration, anxiety, and asthma).
