Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Yesterday, I was contacted about a management trainee position. The receptionist told me that the job included: dealing with clients, servicing customers, managing accounts, ect. This seemed something that I would be good at. Finally that Economics degree that I worked so hard to get would finally pay off.

Today when I finally was interviewed by Nathan Porter, I found out that I would be selling cheesy little coupon books. Door to door. He referred to them as marketing brochures, or marketing pamphlets, but make no mistake they are coupon books.

There was another entry on this web site for JMP Promotions, located in Grand Rapids. But I guess they moved into our area. Also whenever I called them, the receptionist would respond by saying only "marketing."

So unless you dreamed of being a door to door salesman since you were a little child, stay away from JMP Promotions.

The company JMP promotions is now called Alliance Executive Group they are still in Livonia,MI with the same address 13740 Merriman Rd Suite B Livonia MI 48150.   I got called by a woman named Jessica Oliver who said they are hiring people to train for marketing positons. She asked if I wanted to interview tomorrow which would be April 28th, 2011 but after searching on the internet for scams I came across these complaints. Only thing that has changed is now the name of the company is called Alliance Executive Group.

Dont fall for their garbage.

Sincerely,

Travis

Yea, same company I applied for a couple years back in GR. They are good at lying and misleading. I was told to come in for an "internship" which included shadowing someone for the entire day. I wish I could've gone home but I was about 30-45 minutes away and rode with the person I was shadowing. In the end the "manager" made it seem like out of the 3 other people shadowing with me only 2 would be selected and I had to "make my case" why I would be the best candidate, in which I in turn told him "thanks but, no thanks". They seem like some kind of cult the way they mislead you.

I had a very similiar situation. I applied for a job that stated it was a Marketing job for Sports minded people with Sports jobs. Sounded good. Talked to a receptionist. Setup an interview but couldnt get much information about the company or the job but I figured I would go to an interview and get some more information. The very slick "Manager" talked like he was an actor out of a bad used car salesman movie and talked the job up without really saying anything about the job, its responsibilities, or its requirements. I pressed to know what the job was like and what it was about and he just kept alluding to the fact that the 2nd interview would cover all of that. Despite my better judgement, I went to the 2nd interview which was a job shadow deal. I was then hauled off in a "Manager trainee's" rusty old car with a new employee to a city about 30 minutes away for job shadowing. This basically was following around a kid that didnt know what he was doing in a suit on a sleeting day to sell "Buy 1, get 2 free" oil change coupons to local business' going door-to-door and disregarding no soliciting signs. After about 30 minutes of this, I called a friend to come pick me up and I was out of there. If you are desperate to make a few bucks and you want to sell your soul to the devil, this job is for you. If you have any common sense, you will pass on this company.
