No customer service or lack of customer service at the home office seems to be the common thread with joann fabrics. Guess they have so many customers they can afford to piss a few off.

I have shopped at Joann's local stores for years even buying a lot of my wedding supplies from them this past August. This was my first experience buying from them online though and it will be my last. I ordered for different types of material and when they finally arrived (all on the same day), each one in a separate box, I only had three of them. I called the Customer Care number only to be told that they had no idea what had happened and that there should have been four boxes. They could not however, access the area they needed to find out where my 4th box was. The girl told me she had to come in the next day and would get an answer for me and email me. You guessed it. The next day I had nadda from her. So, I called Customer Care again and this time, after being on hold for forever, was told that I should wait another 3 weeks for my material to come in! I told the gal that the rep the day before showed 4 boxes were shipped. Why should I wait 3 more weeks for my order? She then confessed to me that she could not even access the shipping department and I should just wait for my box to show up (even though she had no idea if it had even been shipped) or I could just call back on Monday (lazy much?). At this point I am LIVID. I am supposed to be taking sewing lessons with this material to make new cushions for my furniture and now I have to put those lessons off. If I do not get a replacement shipment sent to me ASAP or a refund for that amount, I will be disputing my charges with VISA and I will relay my ordeal to everyone I can possibly think of warning them to stay away from Joann Fabrics online. I have shopped with Fabric.com before and had great success so I will just go back to shopping with them.
