After talking with the Dealership manager finally things were made right they installed a complete new shifter in my Daughters car and they have worked on my Dodge truck sense. The Managers response was quick and proper. They do work on all makes and models of veh. and always have.

Kind of like the guy who had to have his truck towed in last week because the brakes went out on him. Had his oil changed at Jiffy/Quicky whatever lube, and the "technician" topped off his brake master cylinder with power steering fluid. Gotta love those places though, get a lot of business sent my way because of them.

If the problem with the vehicle cannot be duplicated in the repair bay, the mechanic has no way of correcting it. This happens alot. "Cannot duplicate customer complaint" is pretty standard. Your complaint about a Ford Dealer not working on a Dodge vehicle is silly. Do you really believe a dealership is going to have service manuals, and factory parts for every vehicle made? The library would be the size of a house, and the parts wharehouse would be the size of a stadium. Just because they sell someone else's brand, does not mean they are responsible for it. And as for the Mustang, again, if the mechanic cannot duplicate the problem, he cannot fix it. And this may come as a shock(apparently will), but an oil change is just that...the oil gets changed. The quickie oil change places started that "top off everything" nonsense. If that's what you want, go to one of them. Before you do, remember this...the average JL replaces one engine/month. Read about all the problems in these threads at ALL of the lube places, no matter what name they carry.
