Joe Hannerfeild - Craftsman Piano is not who they say they are, they are fraud Yonkers New York
I contacted Joe Hannerfeild at Craftsman Piano through the internet at www.craftsmanpiano.net I spoke with Joe for about an hour and he told me the piano that I was interested in purchasing from him was rebuilt to exceptional standards. The piano was a Steinway Model C grand piano and was at his shop in Yonkers, New York. The instrument was to be shipped to me and seeing as I had put a deposit on the piano I thought it would be best to go see it for myself. After contacting another company about the piano I purchased they gave me the name and phone number of a client that had purchased a piano from Joe Hannerfeild and his network of piano sellers, and Joe Hannerfeild of Craftsman Piano rebuilt it. The person told me that the restoration service they received was poor and the soundboard they installed started cracking and the piano became unplayable, this was two years ago. When they contacted Joe Hannerfeild at Craftsman Piano in Yonkers, they was told that the piano was fine when it left the shop and Joe told them that they was s**t Out of Luck about having it repaired. The client sent the piano to another company for repair and was told that the restoration of the piano was done very poorly and they did not use proper parts and they did not install the soundboard properly. They found out that the people that work for Craftsman Piano in Yonkers New York are not even trained to do this kind of work. Most of the people that work at the piano shop of Craftsman Piano and Joe Hannerfeild are undocumented workers from Mexico and they don't even speak English. When I went to inspect the piano I put a deposit on what was supposed to be delivered in one week, it was not even playable. The piano was in pieces and was in a state of disrepair. I would not do business with this company at all!! Take your business somewhere else, I was also told by this company that gave me the information that, Joe Hannerfeild has piano in his showroom that other people rebuilt and uses those pianos to demonstrate his abilities, the sad part here is that Joe Hanmerfeild does not even know how to rebuild a piano and that was told to me by Carl at(((Redacted))).

I am responding to a report about my piano restoration company, Craftsman Piano Co. This report describes an event which never happened. My name is Joe Hanerfeld and I own Craftsman Piano Co. I have a very good idea who filed the original report against my company. He is another piano rebuilder. He is accusing me of selling him a Steinway C, and then not delivering it. This never happened. It is hard to defend yourself against an allegation like this. He has also reported that my workers are not trained. We have many pianos in beautiful condition at my shop. They are available to be played. The proof is in the pianos. My shop is a working shop. The allegation that the work is not being done in my shop is ridiculous. The pianos are continuosly being worked on. Any one can come in and see the work being done. On the internet anyone can make anonymous, unsubstantiated claims of consumer abuse. At Craftsman Piano we try to do right by our customers. We do a good job of rebuilding the pianos. If there is a problem I do my best to address it. I can produce many excellent references to my customers. I am, like everyone else, vulnerable to anonymous, unsubstantiated, negative reports. Any one with an axe to grind can report on this web site. Ripoff Report makes no claims to check the accuracy of any report. I make no claim to perfection. However, this negative report is false. I hope to use this report to my advantage by inviting any one who doubts my company's ability to restore pianos beautifully to come to my shop and try out my pianos.
