 Joes AV advertised a Sony tv for more than $800 less than other retailers. Also said item was in stock and would get a free wall mount with purchase . Called in order and immediately told that I don't want that one that I want another Sony for a lot more money and also the stand which they say on Internet is a $129 value was junk and worth only $10 and I need to buy a different one from them. I told them I researched the TV I called for and want that one and not the one they tried to upsell me on. The sales guy said I will u back. After the conversation which left me disturbed, I decided to just order it thru their Internet website. As soon as I got confirmation , five minutes later I get a call from them and the guy says he just talked to me but his voice was not the same guy. He swore he was the same guy so I asked his name and it was not and and confronted him on it . He tries to back pedal while still trying to change my order to the other TV but I said I and happy with my decision and will stick to my first choice and order. He then said , well then ur order will not ship for 28 days! I told him web says instock! He was kept changing the story and then got really pushy about it. He than said if I wanted to speak to his manager I could so I said yes which I think he was not expecting me to say that. He then gave me hard time and tried not to let me talk to his manager for atleast three minutes of challenging me. He finally sent me to a blank answer machine I left a message. Two minutes later he call back and says why I hanged up and tries again with more pitches . At some point I stated I am calling the state about them . Then another guys calls me and says he is the manager but won't give me his last name. He then says if u want the tv it's 28 days to ship , no tracking number, someone will call u the day before delivery and that's it if u want it and the I got disconnected . Finally I called my credit card and cancelled my card because I did not rust them . Felt like a total scam and made me nervous . Haven't had that type of experience in such a long time and I have lived in the NYC area the last 35 years . I search and found a similar complaint on ripoff report so I felt the need to share it since their deals are too good on the website to be true.
