Hello Reid and all other victims,

I have also become one of the victims of John Becks program.

Last week I was watching this program on televison for half hour and got so much excited that I can actually buy property. I gave them a call right away and ordered the books and they also did arive in timely fashion. The same day I gave a call to the number they actually asked to call once you get the books. The very night they some how spell some magic over me to buy the program for $4000. I would never do such a thing, coz I was very confdent the company is legitimate and the fact they actually air their show on television made me think they are truly worth trying. So I did not research more about it. This happened on 29(friday night) of September 2004.

Over the weekend I spoke to couple of my friends and they asked me questions that made me look whether I get a refund or not. Thats when I researched and found about your reports and that was on sunday night.

Immediately I called the creditcard company and reported fraudulant charges and froze my account. Now I'm worried will I ever get my money back and the fact I have given authorization to take money from my credit card.

Today, 6 oct, I got a package for enrolling in to their program, which i haven't opened and I'm not going to.

Could you help me sharing information about getting my money back?

I wish to get in touch with you and ask many questions to get a refund of $4000 I spent for the mentoring program which I not scheduled nor I'm going to.

EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish you file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days.

If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 # , and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges.

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent!

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/comptroller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth.

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.

And good luck Let us know how you do!

Hey there Paul, along with Everyone else, I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health. What you've stated Paul is absolutely correct. Foreclosures, and government tax leins are very real. These properties however, are very difficult for beginners to obtain. Next to impossible for beginners, considering the many seasoned professionals in the field, your father included. If making money were as easy as John Beck (corrupt attorney) claims, he would definitely have nothing to gain by sharing his strategies with the entire world. I wish you Paul, and your father, continued success, happiness and prosperity. It's great knowing, that there still exists honest people who are not afraid to speak the truth. Until next time, take care Paul along with Everyone else cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

John Beck stuff is fake or fake enough to not be trusted.

#5Consumer Comment

I totally agree the John Beck stuff is fake or fake enough to not be trusted. And I hope that those who sucumbed to buying into it have or are being able to get their money or life back after being the succee. Having said that however, while I am not supporint Johnbeck or his ilk. The concepts of taxsales (auctions) are legit. My own father bought and sold a few houses in his life precisely due to tax sales. Often he would use taxdeals as a quickturnaround cash, while he would assume loans for real rental properties. Rarely was a taxdeal a keeper (Only 1 in 15 years for him, and I live in that keeper currently). Point being, tax sale methods are legit, but are a bit more difficult than JohnBeck leads one to beleive. Plus they are more often tax auctions than sales. Point is, it can be done, but is not free&clear and easy, unless you already have resources to handle the possibilities. There is no such thing (at least locally) as a tax sale (only auctions), though federally there might be. Besides at most auctions there are pros ready to plunk down multiple thousands site unseen for the property, and sometimes will have the property sold before they even walk out of the auction. (thats true of almost all auctions anyway, or so I think).

Don't Be Intimidated By The Fraudulent EPN Collection Agency!

#6Consumer Suggestion

Wed, March 23, 2005

Hey there Everyone, I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health. WARNING: EPN is without question a fraudulent collection agency. Disregard any and all letters from this bogus collection agency. Letters from this fraudulent collection agency are just attempts to intimidate and illegally obtain monies from victims of scams. If you've recently had charges reversed in your favor, there's only one reason for it. It's because the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute was totally unable to prove the legitimacy of the garbage they're shoveling. EPN is a scam in that they attempt to collect on debts which were already proven fraudulent and no longer exists. It was your credit card company which have taken their money back from the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute, not you, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about in this situation. As I've stated earlier, just a weak attempt of intimidation. EPN also randomly select their victims??? If you're ever contacted by someone from this fraudulent collection agency, notify them, that they are to discontinue all contact. Failure to meet this request will result in immediate law enforcement action. Until next time, take care Everyone cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

F%ck EPN! EPN Is Just Another Scam! EPN is a fraudulent collection agency

#10Consumer Suggestion

Wed, March 23, 2005

Hey there Manjunath, I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health. Contact EPN and tell them, that Reid said to shove it! EPN is a fraudulent collection agency. Once you've successfully obtained a refund from your credit card company it's over. There's no longer a debt to be paid. The debt is immediately erased. The fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute had it's chances to prove it's side during the dispute process, but obviously failed miserably in doing so. Explain to EPN, that they are to cease all contact with you. Notify this fraudulent collection agency, that any further contact attempt will be met with harassment complaints to the Federal Nuisance Bureau, FBI, FTC and all other govenment law enforcement agencies. The John Beck Mentoring Institute is a scam and so is their fraudulent collection agency EPN. It's your credit card company, that simply took their money back from the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute, not you, so you don't have a single thing to worry about EPN. Where's my letter EPN? I'm waiting for my letter!!! LOL at the many result of incest beings. Until next time, take care Manjunath cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

As I told you guys before I never enrolled their sessions nor did I even open their packages. I still have those packages. So I'm thinking thats why they wanted to charge me $1000 bucks instead of $4000 as they initially cheated me with. Can anybody out there can give me some advice on what can I do? and how do i respond EPN and get them out of my life. Thanks.

Hello everyone! After a couple of months, my credit card company has given me credit after I Disputed the charges made by John Beck. I have been following other victims situations and now I'm wondering If I'll be contacted by the collection agency or not. Let me tell you clearly that.. I have not signed any contract, not scheduled any sessions and have never even opened the mails which they say confidential information enclosed(books).I figured I'd be in advantage if i did not open them. Now that my bank has given me credit back, I'm wondering if those collection agencies come after me. I'd appreciate if any of you give me some advice. Thanks,

#18Consumer Suggestion

Fri, October 08, 2004

Hello there!! Thanks for your responses. I did call the credit card company and notify on Monday early morning and filed a fraudulant charges. I called up credit card company today (07/oct/04) again and the lady who answered the phone first said that there has been charges made to my account on Wednesday (i,e. John Becks program did take my money on Wednesday). So, I insisted her to transfer me to credit card security service to file a dispute charges, and the guy over there said my account has been marked for fraudulant inquiry and also said I wont be charged and I would be sent an Affidavit to sign. Since, my account is frozen, he said it would take 14 days after making first conversation( 4/oct/04) to get the papers. Then I asked him for Federal Regulation E form, he said I wont be needing it, as my account wont be charged. I'm confused one say I have been charged and the other say I wont be charged. So, Should I wait untill 20/oct/04 to see what I get and then take it from there?? or do you suggest me to follow up in anyother manner. Is calling card company and asking them to freeze a account based on fraudulant charges itself is a complaint for disputed charges or I need to ask them specifically for a disputed charges report? Now that credit card company is talking favourably without even me filing a Federal Regulation E form ...is that a good sign? Thanks in advance for any responses.

WARNING: Lure And Trap= Manure And Crap!

#19Consumer Suggestion

Fri, October 08, 2004

Hey there Everyone, WARNING: The John Beck Free and Clear program, Amazing Profit's, Mentoring Institute and all of his seminars, which is used only to promote his materials and "workshops" are all scams. Lure and trap schemes, designed to obtain consumer's credit card information, in hopes to trap them into contracts heavily filled with clauses. Infomercials, opportunity magazines, Internet, newspaper classifieds, and "free seminars" are only a few places, where fraudulent businesses often do their fishing. Just a few things to be skeptical over. 1. Infomercials with HIDDEN (fine) print. FULL DISCLOSURE is absolutely necessary. 2. "Free seminars" that are not so "free". Be leary of any and all seminars, that attempt to sell you on their program. Be sure to attend these, only for the "free" meals and gift. Be the fish, that "takes the bait", but does not get caught. LOL. 3. NEVER give out credit card information over the phone to any business! Legitimate businesses send out legal contracts containing FULL DISCLOSURE of said products and or services. 4. If anyone from any business ever requests to have the an agreement recorded, imediately hang up the phone. Chances are enormous that all they're trying to do, is snake out your credit card info. 5. Be leary of ALL businesses, that attempt to use their BBB memberships as an endorsement of their products or services. BBB memberships are paid for and not earned, therefore, means and proves absolutely nothing about a particular business. Why they are still in business is beyond me. By following these five steps alone, one should be a tad more safe from the likes of John Beck, Carlton (full of sheet) Sheets, William (jail bird, bend over buddy) Mckorkle, and all the other dirt bags, that will eventually rot in hell. Until next time, take care Everyone cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

#20Consumer Suggestion

Thu, October 07, 2004

Hey there Manjunath, I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health. If you haven't yet participated in any "mentoring" sessions, I strongly suggest that you don't schedule any appointments. If you already have, discontinue all "mentoring" sessions immediately, for the longer you wait, the more difficult obtaining a refund will become. It's very imparative, that you DO NOT sign any contract(s)from this fraudulent company. I have signed their contract, but was able to prove, that the John Beck Free and Clear program along with their "mentoring" are nothing but DODO. Make it absolutely clear to your "coach" and the company itself, that they are to immediately discontinue all contact. Any attempts to contact you will result in fines imposed by the nuisance bureau. Next, type out your entire experience in full detail (take your time) and save a copy in the draft section of your email account. This will make it really easy to copy and paste it everywhere. Email a copy of your experience to every government and law enforcement agency imaginable. FBI, Consumer Protection, FTC, etc, etc. Send one email to each and every agency about once or twice a week. This fraudulent company went as far as to literally beg my credit card company to reverse the charges in their favor, just because I have signed their contract agreeing to their bogus "mentoring". F%ck that $h!t! So what if I've agreed to all of their fraudulent sales pitches? I have not once denied agreeing to what they were not able to live up to. Whether I signed their contract or not, was totally irrelevant to my dispute. Immediately contact your credit card company and let them know, that you would be interested in disputing the charges (quality of service). Also, do follow the EDitors suggestions, on how to get your money back. Your credit card company is "supposedely" on your side, even though they insist on allowing charges which they know are fraudulent to go through. You're definitely not the first, or only person, that has been duped by the "mentoring" scam and you definitely wont be the last, as long as the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Imbreeds and all the other so called "mentoring" programs are allowed to air their scam Infomercials. What ever happens, do not panic! Bottom line is, the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute DOES NOT have your money yet. If anything, they have your credit cards money. LOL. Upon contacting your credit card company, notify the person in charge, that it's entirely up to them, whether or not to allow the payment to go through, and that you will not be held responsible for the charges, should they decide to do so. The ball is entirely in their court! Let them know, that you refuse to pay for what you've already determined through research, is a scam. Until next time, take care cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless. P.S. I will be around to answer any and all of your questions and help you through this. Keep in contact through the rebuttal box. I will respond to your postings as soon as time permits.
