Matouk Buyer Beware of poor quality products Fall River Massachusetts
Buyer Beware. Matouk & Co boasts of high quality luxiry linnens. I purchsed their 350 thread count cotton percalse sheets and pillowcases. Although they look very pretty, the fabric is very poor quality. The fabric is very thin, and it wrinkles extensivley, even after careful laundering and diligent ironing. These sheets are very very expnesive. Retailers will say that they are durable, yet I have recently heard complaints that the fabric wears very quickly. i am not surprised. I have taupe colored pillows. The fabric is so thin, the color of my pillows shows through the pillow case. This happens with no other white colored or pastel colored bedding I use. Further, good connton fabrics do not wrinkle easily after ironing. These bedding products wrinkle horribly after just one night of use. Why iron in the first place?
These sheets are decorated with embroidery or a decorative tape. After washing, the decorative area puckered, and could not be smoothed with persisitent ironing. Typically when a fabric is not properly stabilizzed before embroidery this will happen. Again for the price point, I expect better. These will require professional pressing at a dry cleaner.
Matouk boasts that they stand by thier products, but that means that thier opinoin counts while yours does not. The customer is always wrong with Matouk. Matouk products are a major purchase. I have never seen s uch poor quality sheets anywhere. I sent the sheets back to the manufacturer. After almost three months, they were shipped back to me with no explanation and no servicce recovery. i was told by the vendor that Matouk thinks the sheets are just fine. Well they are NOT!
Additionaly,at times sheets must be placed on order by the vendor. Matouk offers a variety of trim style and colors. Matouk claims orders will be ready in 4-6 weeks. My ordered took 2 1/2 months. I was given two different stoeis as to why there was a delay. When I complained to Matouk, I was met with arrogance and indignance that "We stand by our products!" Aprrantely might is right with Matouk, and customers are just ignorant.
Lucky for me i have not had such a flagrant breech of good fatih customer service anywhere else. The very high prices for these sheets do not reflect quality in any way. DO NOT PURCHASE Matouk!
