if they're still around!! We used to go to John's Pizza in Addison when I was a child - over 30 years ago. If they're still in business, that tells me that they must be doing something right, and that you are just nit-picking. I may have to get down there and visit good ole' Johns again!!

First of all, I have no connection whatsoever to John's Pizza other than being a customer. I do know that John's Pizza is a neighborhood favorite for these reasons: great food, great service, and it is independently owned. They are not in business for all these years because they "rip off" customers. Part of the welcoming atmosphere there has a great deal to do with the fact that you can bring big groups of people in there and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere without feeling like you are out of place. You are not the first group to ever enter the restaurant and therefore, they do have experience regarding the best way to make the group dining experience easier and better. Serving pitchers of soda is much easier for the entire group to constantly have refills. It would be a nightmare for the person hosting the group to have to keep track of each and every person's glass and calling back the waitress every time it needed refilling. Even if you feel you didn't get the best deal possible and were out five bucks...was it worth making an issue out of it and if so, were you nice about it? There must of been some sort of an occasion for 15 people to be out together..you can either enjoy your group and have good memories of the outing or go on the rampage bashing the restaurant over 5 bucks. Life is what you make of it. I gaurantee if you were pleasant about your inquiry they would have bent over backwards to make you happy. Did you throw out the "I'm telling others about this ...." line, too? I can almost bet you did and that is NOT in the spirit of small town family restaurants. There are hardly any of these left anymore because chain restaurants are pushing them out. John's does a lot for the community so please, get over yourself.
